Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Well, I don't think it costs bandwidth... and we are pretty moderate in our spam. Plus, like Corin said, we're nice polite law-abiding hobbits who never make the moderators clean up our messes. And I think we all donate, too.
Watch out, though, 50,000 is coming up and then all bets are off.

*whew* Chatsey day in the hobbit hole today. I just got caught up. 1) can do a little algebra, trig, too. 2)like the music in les mis, but haven't watch the play 3)haven't tried baby butt balm, but I do like bag balm 4) sent the first Adams book along to the boyz in Afghanistan 5) Corin- you've got to read Harry Potter #5- muy bien!! 6)L. Acidophilus et al are excellent for the digestive system 7) don't have the complexion to wear red but I wear it anyway 8) the chickens are sooo cute! 9) Dianna was a tragic figure and I was upset by her passing 10) I've never 'met' a politician, but I saw Newt from a distance once and was at the inaugural ball with Bob Barr 11)banning over spam is stupid...without Carton's spam, we'd never get to 50,000!
And that's all I have to say about that.

I'd suppose the admin mod would have said something by now if they were upset with us, after 100,000 posts or so including lots of spamming. 'Course it's pretty calmed down in here compared to awhile ago.
