Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

First let me say, this sort of thing does not bother me at all, I am telling you this as a warning, that there are some (not on this thread, SO FAR) who it does. A poster was banned yesterday for doing this sort of thing on the NES. I think that was stupid but just be careful where you do it:)

Hope you understood I meant it was stupid that they got banned, not for spamming:) I would spam too, but you can't on WebTV very fast so whats the point:)

I think banning someone for spamming is ridiculous, though. More than ridiculous.

Oh! I meant to tell you yesterday, I watched Two Weeks Notice this weekend with my wife. This movie changed my view of Hugh Grant. He was incredibly funny in that movie.

I heard about that. I think Restornu was banned for only one day though.
The poster who reported her was being incredibly uptight about the whole thing. Especially when he got called on the carpet by the other posters.

For the most part our spams are under 5-10 posts. Don't get me wrong, we've done worse, but we sent Vim to a rehab program and he was never the same after that...
If it's the poster ksen mentioned, I'm guessing she spammed with gifs. She was probably being "watched" anyway.
Finally, we are no where near as irritating to JR as the religion wars.

Nobody over there thought you would get banned for it either. It's been going on over there for a long time, big time. 100's of posts, my husband was one of the worst:). But when new people come on a thread you never know.
But then again I don't understand about bandwidth. I don't know if wasting posts costs the site money??, or how it works. If spammin is called to a mod. attention, they may ban because of the waste???,
