Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Good evening! I had such a good time (as usual) with Becky at the Green Corn Festival. Steve and Mack visited and watched the boys play on a play set while Becky and I wandered around, visiting with her daughter and daughter-in-law.

We ate corn and drank lemonade. We had all kinds of gossip to talk about! Remember the guy that fell off his motorcycle in front of my house? She knows him! And remember the lesbians that opened the daycare center right next to me and the customers parked in my newly seeded lawn? She knew them too!

It was hysterical...

How funny! - Small town?

Very! I really try not to get too involved in it...I don't want this Small Town to be too involved with me! The ladies at the post office know me, because I send care packages from there. And the ladies at the library know me, because my kids do the summer reading club there.

Other than that, I don't know ANYONE else in this town but Becky and my immediate neighbors.

LOL! Yeah, but they don't know me! The night the motorcycle guy was laying in my street, I didn't even answer the doorbell...it was very late! Do you remember me talking to 911 and them giving me the whole scoop about the guy? Like it was a gossip column??

Remember I told you about how the guy's restaurant makes the best chili cheese burgers?

It's kinda weird that there is now someone in the thread that can at least verify that I am telling a bit of the truth! She knew exactly who I was talking about and we even ran right into one of those women that lived next door. Ha!

I don't just know this woman, my husband and I and her husband and her were very good friends. Hung out together for years. I just don't know what happen to her:( It was really a sad deal, and I lost a good friend.

But the funny thing about tonight was, we ran into the man who owned the house before her and her friend bought it across from 2J, and 2J told me about a couple of lesbians moving in across from her and the problems. Then we ran into my old friend, and I was about to introduce the two of them by saying something like, you guys might know each other, you live in the same addition, when it dawned on me , this is the lesbian 2J was speaking of, and it might not be a good idea to introduce them. I didn't know if they had recognized each other or not. Small towns:)

Morning everyone! We were out until past midnight last night, so I am dragging this morning. Alyson is up and I have to get her birthday party together. It starts today at 2pm, and I still have to pick up the cake and food! AARRGGHH!

We drank a little, danced a little and even FReeped the Borders bookstore where I hid Hitlery's book behind some others. Of course, they had Ann Coulter's book hidden in the political science section. *sigh*

It was great fun!! We only took one picture and I am waiting for my friend to e-mail it to me, so I can post it.

I'll have it up (hopefully) by this afternoon.
