The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

She's got ten. She thinks that's it. She's going to incubate the rest through tomorrow, then toss what is left and give me the incubator on Sunday. Would there be a good time to meet you briefly on Sunday, to hand the chicks over to you? We could meet at the feed store...
She said she got a solid black one! It was very wobbly though, had some trouble getting out of the shell and it's legs don't seem to work as well. She put it in the incubator away from the other chicks, because they started to peck at it...but when she put it in with them this morning, they didn't peck at it. She said it's still wobbly, but not so bad.

Whatever that is on the right looks really good.

BTW, does the Green Corn Festival sell T-shirts? Or do they have a website?
The Chaplain's wife is sending me and the boys some "82nd Airborne" t-shirts and I'd like to get her something local!

but where did that dwarf wander off to? We do not know. He resolved to go to Moria. A shadow of disquiet fell upon our people. Whence it came we did not at first perceive. Words began to be whispered in secret: it was said that we were hemmed in a narrow place, and that greater wealth and splendour would be found in a wider world.
For a while we had news and it seemed good: messages reported that Moria had been entered and a great work begun there. Then there was silence, and no word has ever come since.

1. I had a few black ones, they were smaller and didn't seem as sturdy as the gold ones. I think it might be because they came from a very very young hen..?? Did she notice, if it came from a white egg. That was one reason I didn't send any white eggs to you. The chicks do not seem as strong.
2. I could meet you sometime Sun. We usually get home form morning service around 2:00, then head back around 5:00. Any time inbetween there would work.
3. I have my horse saddled and am going to ride for a few hours, then I am going to head to town to the feed store. Probably will be in town around 2:00. What time are you going? I will check when I get back from riding.
4. Mack says there was no t-shirts down there. He went last night during my hen party:). Hey, but since you ask...Mack and my daughter are starting a t-shirt business. No kidding. In about a month they will be able to custom make, what ever you want it to say, t-shirts. He has the equipment ordered.

She didn't say which type egg it came from...I'll ask next time I see her...
Do you drive by the feed store on the way home from worship? I could meet you there on your way home and then you wouldn't have to make a special trip into town?
I was thinking of taking the boys down to the festival for lunch...we'll just go down there and look around sometime after noon. Look for us if you go!
I was hoping they had some official "Green Corn Festival" tee shirts I could get for the chaplain's wife and the kids. Oh well!
I think Sam Cree used to be in the tee-shirt business...

Whatever that is on the right looks really good.It appears to be some concocted blending of orange, lime, strawberry and watermelon juices. Looks delicious! I'm on that Mayo Clinic Diet since the 16th, and I've lost 10lbs so far. Pretty good:) It hasn't been hard at all, even though I don't care for meat, I've managed it ok.
