The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

That is great. Do you think you will be able to start riding him then!!!
Thanks for the mouning:), maybe if the sun comes out it will perk up before tonight. But the radar shows another storm. Right now it looks like it would miss us but....this is OK.

What's going on, anyway?

Do you think you will be able to start riding him then!!! I really don't know. [hoping]
He needs a few days to get used to the new feet. It will change the angle of his foot considerably. Then I will start working him on the lunge again and watching.
Think I will also start him on Bute.

I think all of that is a good idea. IF you are careful bute won't hurt their stomach. My son had a horse he used it on for a long time.
I have wondered if bute would be like us taking some meds. Give it right after they eat so it's not on an empty stomach??? Do you think that helps?

Not a bad idea Becky..... I threw out my old wormer syringes cleaning the barn.... Need to worm them anyway so I will get some today and worm him.
Tomorrow morning I will start the Bute.

By the Way...Late last night I posted some articles on the spoiler thread...
They are not real big spoilers, but talk about the reshoots that give some very vague hints... Ian McKellan's article is really interesting I think:

Well, at least the hummingbird that has been visiting my garden is still enjoying it. I can see him out there buzzing around the silvia.
