Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

To those that might be interested...
Blueberry Muffins
Preheat Oven 425 degrees
Combine:
1 c White All-Purpose flour
1/2 c Whole wheat flour
3/4 c Wheat Germ
1/8th tsp. Salt
2 tsp baking powder
2/3 c sugar
In a separate bowl, combine:
1 beaten egg
1 c milk
1/2 c (One stick) butter
Mix two bowls of ingredients together till all is moist, then fold in gently 1 and a quarter cups blueberries
Bake in lined muffin pans for 20-25 minutes, start checking them at around 18 minutes. These freeze well.

Oh my goodness, they turned out GREAT!!!
A friend made these for me when I first had MATTHEW almost 8 years ago and I've kept the recipe and never got around to making them. I knew they were good when she made them, but I think mine actually taste better! Maybe just because they are hot from the oven...
Mine only took about 15 minutes to cook, but I have a very hot oven...
