The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Before you actually get started, let me research other repair methods. There are also tapes that you can wrap around the leak, and the water is supposed to harden and seal it. Whether these miracle cures actually work, I don't know, but I like to keep current on technology. Heh, my schedule looks like it works with yours pretty good since it will be at least 6 days until I do something else. I just now recovered the hole.... well, not carpet and all.... just the plywood.
This was so frustrating at least it motivated me to get out there and do some things in the yard that have been put of for WAY to long. I have most of the remains of the dead trees out of the grass now. Of course, they are stacked on the concrete pad that some previous resident here used for a basketball court.... but, I don't need a basketball court.

I just had the funniest picture in my head of you trying to sneak a 1200 pound horse disguised within a couch slipcover into an apartment building!

I think I'm gonna make some tuna salad.... after I get clean.
I am boiling water for a bath. Sometimes it just doesn't feel possible to get truly clean in cold water. Today is one of those days.
On top of that, my hair really needs washing.... but, I will do that tomorrow. I will stop off at Grama's house and do it on my way to the hospital. Until then. Ick.

It's moments like these that I really wish I knew something about plumbing! Well, I have become more and more concerned about paying for entmoot. And now, I'm thinking: plumber - entmoot, plumber - entmoot
Kind of hoping 300winmag saves me.

Well, I'm looking at this fast approaching JULY!!!
Did anybody say which day in July?
I haven't found a part-time job yet... and I pretty much guess I've turned myself over to spending this time with Grama. (a good decision I think) But, kind of leaves me wondering when I will get the money.
Myranda had said that when she gets home and goes to work she was going to help me out to pay some of the expenses. But, now, I'm also really praying about having her just stay with Grama for those weeks. She would be a help to my mom and it would be the best thing Grama would want.

did you see his homepage? He's a "Buffy" fan... just my two cents...
he may redeem himself if he can quote from Fear and Loathing in Ls Vegas...

Well, your dear neighbor promised I'd be receiving my tax refund soon, so have no worries!
Scratch all doubt from your mind regarding Entmoot attendance. You will be there!
