The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

OK. *Seriesly*, this is a bargain!
It's got 2 houses that are 2/2 and a cottage that is a 1/1 on 4 acres - fenced and cross fenced. :)
Homosassa Springs!
Not too pretty, but it's got LAND!

Did you see that horrendous black and yellow dining room Hildy did over the weekend? I just caught the end of it. She painted the walls and ceilings of the dining room black. And then painted the table and chairs yellow.
To: Corin Stormhands
Yes, unfortunately I did see it.
And don't forget the eggs. All of those eggs. *shudder*

All of those eggs. *shudder* Don't you figure the designers get the #@!! out of Dodge before the reveal? I'd have been chasing Hildy down the street pelting her with the eggs.
To: Corin Stormhands
Well, you said you only caught the tail-end of the show so let me tell you that during the entire episode, the couples were making jokes at Hildy's expense!
The couple that was working with Hildy were asked (by Hildy) if they were worried about what was going on at their home. Their answer? "NO, because you're over here!" BWAAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Well, I have 3/4 of the back yard mowed now and a couple of small tree stumps dug up and sawed off under ground. LOL, my right hand does not want to type anymore after all that.
Truthfully, your job dilema sounds like mine when I ended up in this job I'm in now. I don't think I ever in my life had "career aspirations." I had kids to feed and I worked my tail off. I got lots of recognition and some awards and therefore people think I had a career going but, they're dumb, I was just thinking of food, water, electricity etc. I ended up making good money because I was so concerned about whether they were going to have everything they needed till they left home. Now, I can relax!!!!
Okay, now, I'm seeing Ruthy's looking at moving too. Gotta check all this out.

And I just can't work 11 jobs! You wouldn't need to! - I will work one, or maybe two of them, we just need 9 others...
It'll be kindof a conservative commune.
Count me in. I'm good for 1 really high paying job or 2 regular ones. Anybody else jumped in yet?

It'll be kindof a conservative commune.Well, I was going to say we were being trend setters. And then I remembered Vernon Howell.

Don't think veggies will grow very well in the sandy soil, though. We'll begin soil ammendments immediately. Turnip greens'll grow. Carrots if we add compost. Watermelons. We'll have Bay and Fatty Lumpkin excellent for composting. It will be good. We will survive.

Well, I have the fenced yard, and the King James Bible. All I need to be an officially state-sanctioned compound is weapons.
I'm working on that. ;^)

epoxy putty intended for underwater use. I never heard of that stuff but I sure will give it a try. Actually, it sounds like just the ticket. The place where this is - well, I just don't see a way to satisfactorily even get tools in there good.
I was thinking about taking a photo and uploading to see if anybody had advice too. Your advice sounds good but I think I'll photo the thing and see what ya'll think.
