The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

It'll be kindof a conservative commune.COOL! With a heated pool and the Atlantic Ocean! Hmmm. Don't think veggies will grow very well in the sandy soil, though.

Pipe is not fixed. I got under there. Found the leak. Can't do it. It is leaking at a joint but I don't have the strength to do anything. ARGH!!!!!!!Try looking for some epoxy putty intended for underwater use. Knead the two parts together, then slap it around the joint. Of course, you might not ever be able to get to that joint again.
Just something to consider. You should find it at decent hardware stores, and the bigger stores with hardware departments.

There is a cool gated community near the beach house that is like that.... big houses, equestrian facility, trails....
Once a year they open the gates and let the peasants in for their garage sale.
They have the coolest stuff! :~D

Yu! It's actually 2 houses. The main house is a 5/3.5 and the guest house has a 1/1 apartment on each of its 2 floors. :)
We could use the 2 car garage as a barn. :)

Yeah, I'd start there. That room kinda looks like the Brady kids all had an an intestinal virus...
Speaking of other shows....have you seen Design on a Dime on HGTV? I'd rather have them in. There are three professional designers/consultants who do a room in your house in one day, with a budget of $1,000. They don't do outrageous. They take what you have and make it work.
To: HairOfTheDog
I would call it 'modern combined estate sale' HAHA! I would call it "Packrat Shack Chic". Say THAT ten times fast!

aaack!...call Trading Spaces fast...Good grief NO!! It would end up looking worse than it does now!
She could, howeer, host 'Hobbit Hole Interiors' for a couple of weeks and we'd set her decorating problems straight! We wouldn't even have to use thousands of silk flowers or gold foil squares! With all that room, there'd be plenty of space for us!
