Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I Miracle Growed them about every 10 days. We were getting so much rain, that I didn't want to overwater them. I am not going to buy petunias again. I am not even sure what I can buy now, it may be to late to get much.??

Yeah....they're supposed to get full sun. OK, I'll keep that in mind.
Thanks!

You should be able to still get good annuals.... Around this time of year everyone else's annuals are all leggy and they are snipping them back or starting over anyhow.

I have noticed that petunia flowers don't like to get wet... if it rains on them, the flowers will get limp, and when I water them, I try to not spray the flowers.

I"ve got a Netflix recommendation for you. We watched a movie called Equilibrium for the second time last night. It could be compared to The Matrix in its gunplay and fight scenes, but there is a very interesting story around which those are built. It even has Sean Bean in it! Put it on your queue; Jr. could watch it with you!
To: SuziQ
Thanks. I'll look it up.

Of course! I just can't set out dessert at the same time because the Dwarves will eat it all before the rest of us finish our breakfast!

Hey Bear,
The kids got me a copy of "Starcraft"(?) for Father's Day. It's a pretty neat game somewhat along the lines of "Command & Conquer" and "Age of Kings."
You basically build up your base and kill the bad guys. right now I'm working my through the Terran campaign they have. They have two other campaigns, one for each of the other alien races.
It was only $10 at Best Buy.
Have you ever played this one?

I need some help! Now as many of you know, I am a math idiot. I can't figure anything for the life of me and now I need help figuring out this dosage...
Jar jar has a respiratory infection and I bought some medicine for her.
6.4 oz of powder will make 12.5 gallons of medicine worth 800mg/gal. I want to make a quart of it a day.
My brain just goes completely numb when I try to figure this.
