Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

slow night eh? I am tired, and even though I have now bathed, I still smell bonfire and I am not sure what the source is.
Watching a show about tornados on TV. I would go on a tornado chasing safari to see it, but I would not want to live there!

How about the lawn ornament that looks like a mushroom but is actually a lady's fanny?

Uh oh...Dwarf bash!

Tacky.
To: HairOfTheDog
Very slow. But it looks like I may not be able to go home early because we have quite a few out for vacation. Someone has to be here, but it's me tonight. At least I'm getting some browsing done, and gathering ideas for a redesign of the Hobbit Hole.
I as close I want to be to tornado area. I prefer blizzards. They're easier to avoid. :-D

What are you going to do with the Hobbit Hole?

Or the "seasonal" decorations... like temporary gravestones at Halloween, or the people who always leave their Christmas lights up into February, or the ones who cover their yard in bright plastic things at Easter...

Tornado's are not that bad.
Lawn ornaments....I have two elves, drawves, gnomes,??? in my flower garden, one is laying on his tummy knees under him, sleefping the other is sitting on a tree stump. My mother painted them, I thought they were cute among the flowers. Are they tacky???

Mainly change the color scheme so it matches the forum, redesign the logo graphics and navigation. May do some tweaking to the forum as well, adding a link back to here, and possibly to the chat.

I hope your daughter keeps having fun and enjoying it. Is there any chance she will get to ride?Yes, she will get to ride eventually.
Did she get to shovel poop yet:)?
Yeah, she told me they "mucked" 4 or 5 stalls. She's even using technical jargon with me.
Her schedule right now is 3 days during the week from 4-6 and then 7-12 on Saturdays.

I'm so glad she will get to ride. I mean after all the work the riding will mean more then money would have, IMO.:)
Tell her mucking isn't so bad, it's just fermented grass, no worse then raking:)

Kevin has she ever read the books by the English vet, James Herriot?

Either way she hasn't read Herriot before. Next trip to the library I'll see about getting a copy for her to read, she loves to read. She's actually read through LOTR twice now.
