Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I'll try signing up again tomorrow, if it'll let me. I may have to find a new name or something. But I'm pretty sure Ecurbh can figure it out if necessary.

Same with me, I could see that I was listed as "in" one of four in chat but never found the dialog box or anyway to post or chat. I don't think webtv is chat oriented. but I posted one after River Daughters post in the forum. But I didn't think that was chat. lol. Well, guess the hobbit hole is the place for me, and all free luddites of the world.

Have you tried clearing your cookies? In IE, go to Tools-Internet Options and click Delete Cookies. Then try signing up again.

SS is a good call, but with the higher quality steel used in todays guns, it's not as necessary.I prefer stainless steel because holster wear, etc. can be "touched up" with fine-grade 3M plastic scouring pad. That is, unless it's in a full-polish finish. You might also consider a bead-blast finish.
I've heard good things about Springfield Armory, although they don't have quite the reputation of the high-end Kimbers. (drool)
