Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I miss SuziQ's middle of the night catch-ups. Well, aren't you just a sweetie!?
Got back from MA late last night. Had a great time with the family, but a cold that had started on the Monday before I left developed into full blown acute bronchitis. I guess that nasty air on the plane didn't help. I went to an Urgent Care center on Sunday morning and the doc prescribed some antibiotics and an inhaler. On the way home last night, I wore one of those face masks on the plane. I know folks were probably wondering what was up with that, but I didn't care. I just didn't want it to get any worse. As it was, on the flight from Gulfport to Atlanta, some family had their little dog in a carrier in the plane with them. The thing whimpered and barked almost all the way, and I think, during the time I had my mask off to drink a gingerale, the smell of it brought a coughing spasm that lasted a few minutes. Even a Ricola didn't help! The second leg of the flight was MUCH better, and we even got in a few minutes early!
I'll go back now and catch up on what was happening during the last week.

Just now read your post about your choloesterol reading of 160. I don't think that is high at ALL! The last time mine was done it was 190, I think, and the doc said that was on the high side of normal! My family doesn't tend toward high cholesterol though SSQ's does.

We had a fun time at the casino. We usually go to the Grand in Gulfport. This year we didn't win anything on the machine where all the cousins each put in $10 and try to win big for the group. After that, we split up and went to find machines we liked. My sister and I spent some on the quarter machines, then went to the nickel ones so we'd lose our money more slowly. ;o) On the way out, we passed by one cousin who had won $1,000!!! We were so thrilled for her. She and I were the only ones who had never won any big money (anything over $50) since we've been getting together. So maybe next year will be my year!
The girls loved Greek Wedding. I think you'd like it; it is just a sweet story, but hilarious in the telling!
I'm going home early today. See you all later!
