Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Wow! It sounds like your daughter is having a blast. I did not have those kinds of opportunities as I grew up. I didn't discover a love for this sort of adventure until well into my 20's. Since then, it is my favorite kind of vacation.
I started my oldest daughter out camping with me when she was 6. Then, when she was 8 she started in this outdoor survival program. Mostly it was kids from Waco. We didn't live in Waco, we lived out in the country. I think Jill was initially hooked because she started out being more knowledgeable about the topics than the other kids anyway. She was very smart gradewise but had been ridiculed by other kids since starting school for having no athletic abilities (gets that from her mom). So being able to excel at something in the outdoors was great for her.
Funny thing is, if you meet her, she is the perfect young southern lady. Prim, proper, can scald one with the tongue and never utter a profanity. Has all the right manners and acoutrments. But, get her out in the woods - and she's a survivalist. And since so few people have seen her there, they don't believe me when I tell them!!!

Nope, I actually hadn't thought of sending stuff like that. Now, I've saved those 2 and I'm going to the website. Need to get up and plug in the printer!

Cute story! I haven't looked real hard for a website for Lidberg prints, a quick search found that the top hits were mostly in Swedish, and I gave up.

Here's another one he'll probably like:

"Them rats! Them dirty, cold-blooded, sore-headed, stinkin' Huns! Them atrocity-committin' skunks ..."

Ok, my illustration would look better centered with the text centered too. Do you think I can learn 2 things in one week? I learned to make my text white Wednesday. Don't want to push it.

Help! - It's too hot out here! I don't like 94 degrees!
Gidget has died.... the cat is trying to stay cool on the porch, and the horses have escaped to the shade of the back 40.

Heh.... He still looks too young to be legal when he does sexy photos like that. My inner Mom won't let me go there.

Heh.... I guess I can see why you would think I was serious after the spring of dying pets I have had.
THE RUMORS OF GIDGET'S DEATH HAVE BEEN EXAGGERATED!
She isn't really dead, she's just hot. I am gonna hose her off.... she will think this is abuse until it is over, the horses did.

Yes, I spray Smeagol down sometimes. It makes her mad. But, she is a black dog. And she lays right smack in the sun. Sometimes her coat is too hot to hold my hand on. But, she still hates my cooling attempts.

Don't do that.
I know it looked aweful. But, then I came back and realized that I hope you knew my post referred to 2 separate posts. I was shocking you with Elijah. But, I think your cat in your post is pretty.
Okay, so do we go to right justification the same way we did centering? Is this 3 things in one week?

Now that is true, however next time I head off on a wild goose chase the folks I'm talking to are going to have to pay for me to go out there and chase them.

I just am wondering if there's a little low-level unobtrusive method to get some non-distilled homebrew made. Sort of a "just in case" he could get by with it. Well....grapes do tend to get squashed and sugar tends to get spilled. And being a busy soldier, he puts a cloth or something over it... just to keep the flies out ...and well...it sits for several days or maybe a week. Soldiers are busy...ya know......

94 degrees and 94 percent humidity. My dogs are flat out too. We went walking around the watershed trail this morning at 10:30 and it was getting pretty warm even then. I'm just sitting here all sticky. This isn't supposed to happen until after July 4.
To: HairOfTheDog
lets see, if this works.
