Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

You don't remember why he said "It's good to be king?"
I believe the terms "tremendous" and "bodacious" have been used here recently...

The house we moved to had a different color shag carpet in every room...Yech!
I'm still stuck with wall paper from that time period. Look behind my pets on my profile page. Lovely, isn't it? So far I haven't been able to replace it!

Well the thing was I knew the warranty or guarantees would not cover a dog chewing them up. So I knew it was coming out of this nice doctors business. But hey, that's what the doctor volunteered. I did not ask for anything.

Oh, one more welcome to the Hobbit Hole!
Always good to have another Texan around. ;)

do you wear foot jewelry? YES!!!
But, I have to take it off when I put on my steel toed boots. Messes up the jewelry.

I'm still stuck with wall paper from that time period. We've got some of that in the boy's bathroom. The wallpaper that was there. Sort of a cheaper version of a Waverly pattern is the strippable kind. So I told Jr. to start peeling it off so we could paint. What is under it is worse. Big ol' blue and yellow flowers.

No! - I missed the after-show! rats. I thought they seemed like fish out of water at that event, which is good. They are staying nice. They panned to Elijah and Sean immediately after the Gollum thing, and they both had mouths agape (slightly grinning) like, I can't believe they really did that!

How old is your car? How many miles does it have on it? It only takes about 5 years to get 200,000 on it.

Lets just not talk about what happens when one drinks too much water.

But hey, that's what the doctor volunteered. Exactly.

I would make sure that manager is on duty when you go.

My "Huh?" was a non-spam spam....to keep IT away from the Elves you know.

LOL .. ya just gotta HATE when THAT happens. I don't wear mine with my ropers either.. same reason.
To: Corin Stormhands
I rarely go barefoot outside. LOL I'm sorry. Must be because it's an elven trait.
I do find that there seems to be a lot more uncomfortable things on the ground now than there were in the early years.

It had 27,000 when I bought it in 2000, and the first year I had it I only lived about five miles from where I worked. Now it's more like 12, but still not much.

I like to go barefoot outside, 'cept 'round the horses!
