The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Just makes me wonder how the folks that don't know the ins and outs manage with hospital politics .. eeek Avoid hospitals like the plague.

To tell you the truth, the Boa was far more laid back than the Burmese. I had no problem "wearing" Luci out about the town, as long as she had been fed recently. Since she was accustomed to my scent, she'd fall right asleep.
Reign was hot-tempered and unpredictable. Although she grew up with the same care and handling as Luci, her personality was completely different. She never bit me, but I am not foolish enough to believe it was because she liked me. It was simply because she figured out that I was part of the food delivery service.

Bye g'nad! Watch out for snakes, especially after you get the guineas out there. Those birds are going to attract the snakes looking for a lovely bite to eat.

The Southern Ringneck Snake.
They are so cute, non-aggressive and helpful around the garden. This is the kind of snake I really like.

Fortunately, she and I are both in the Medical Industry, so we knew what buttons to push to get it taken care of.Praise the Lord for that!

Yeah, it's amazing how quick you can get everybody you want in your room when you threaten to call the tv stations and your attorney and use the ugly "N" word -- NEGLIGENCE.
That place was HOPPIN' after that .. and such a shame that it had to come to that to get something done.
Aaarrrrrrg!! Patient care at it's finest.

I have somewhat of a fascination with snakes.. never been really afraid of them, but make a point to know the "good" snakes from the "bad" snakes. We have Copperheads and Cottonmouths around here.

Very sad, but true.

Could the problem be that when fat is combined with sugar, people will then go ahead and eat way too much of both? I think both are way too easily accessible today. Maybe so. And yeah, when I was a kid we drank kool-aid now and then as a special treat, but soda was a rare treat. Way too many sodas being consumed by kids today. I don't buy them, and I try and keep them out of my house. But they are so easily bought at school.... all I can do, really, is make sure my son drinks plenty of water at home. And he does. Most of the time he chooses a bottled water over sodas. That's all I can hope for really.

Hello good morning everyone.
Lots of stuff going on. I have house/screen/roof damage from hail again. And my pickup is bashed up. Thank the Lord, my old classic car didn't get hit. I am waiting for adjusters.
But, the worst thing is, they've had to put a feeding tube in my Grama. I am figuring now whether to drive down now and spend a couple of days or wait until I get out of class Wednesday so I can spend 5 days. I want to see her right now. But, I'd rather have 5 days than 2 days.
Talked to Jill this morning. Tom called her yesterday. Tom has not gotten any packages yet. :-( I think I sent the first one week before last. I think it's been almost 3 weeks.
I'm just really bummed over all this stuff today.

Thanks Ruthie, I'm gonna be better when I actually make the decision to drive south now or wait till Wednesday. I think I need to call my mom and discuss it. And the Hobbit Hole all knows how successful I usually am at conversations with my parents. uh huh.

Thank you very much. Hey, you said you lived over in S.E. part of Texas. I'm a little off beat in a lot of ways. My primary daily prayer partner lives just south of Conroe. LOL. We usualy take care of our prayer business over email nowdays. Don't see one another in person near as often as either of us would like anymore. :-)
