Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Should I be worried? Not if you like these new kids better.

But he has already signed up for the football team, right? We signed the form for marching band. He's been to a couple of practices.
Yesterday, he signed himself up for football.
He can't do both. Football practice and band camp both start the Monday after our beach week (August 11). It's one or the other.

I haven't eaten them because of the adverse effect of sugar alcohol on my "weight loss".

there's always zyban...my dad, uncle and 2 aunts all quit smoking using it.
thinking about it myself, but don't know if I wanna mess around with my brain chemistry...

I don't mind a little mayo, but I do avoid it when I can. It's a mental thing I have against it! Feels greasy and gloppy to me, so if there's a lot on the sandwich or in the tuna, I can't eat it unless I can scrape some of it off. I told you I'm a weirdo!I am exactly the same way. At restaurants I always have to ask for no mayo on sandwiches and burgers. It has to be just a thin veneer at the most.

What is sugar alcohol?
Sounds like something that would taste good poured over ice cream!

Zyban has worked for a few people I know as well.
The problem is that I don't really want to quit yet, so anything I try will not work. Until I get serious about quitting, it won't happen.
I've managed to cut it down to half a pack or less a day, but that goes out the window if I'm at a party, etc.

Hey 2J.
I noticed in one of your pictures of your chickens you had one of those chick feeders. Can the chicks get in that thing a scratch? My chicks waste so much feed, because the get in and scratch it out or break it down to powder and then won't eat it. I wondered if one of those would help?

I don't think they can, now that I think about it...they stand on top of it, but that's about it, so far.
The drinking water jobber was a hassle...they kept scratching litter into it. Then I put it up on a inverted saucer and they quit doing that. Now Roy roosts on top of it!
