Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Somebody switched my kids out for Stepford kids. For the last week they have been getting up about 6:00am and doing their school work before mom, the teach, is even out of bed!
They've been getting done by aroun 10:00am and have been doing a good job.
Should I be worried?

You boys sure know how to make a lady feel lovely!!
But until I can feel comfortable in shorts and a tank top, I have to keep losing tummy / thigh fat.
My mom will be calling doctors on me when I tell her to just give me a piece of meat, but no bread, rice, beans or platanos! LOL!!

She is really fixated on food. The woman who has the office next to mine is like that. She had the surgery and lost probably 200 lbs. She was thin. But she obsesses over food. She's got a whole cabinet stocked in her office, along with her own toaster oven and who knows what in the office fridge.
She's gained back at least half of what she lost. That's just sad.

It is sad.
I'm addicted to cigarettes, so I understand any addiction. It isn't easy to let go of something you enjoy, even it is harming you and YOU KNOW IT!
You'd think in a time where men walk on the moon, there would be a quick fix for addictions via injections, etc. Alas, the human mind cannot be harnessed in a syringe. :(

I have heard that get to that point eventually...they want to get the inevitable over with. I can't wait!

Don't get me wrong, they still behave like the 6, 8, and 12 year olds that they are, but when it comes to school lately they have been extremely diligent.

I see a lot of folks eat only lo-fat and fat-free foods... "Lo-fat" and "fat-free" foods are tricksey. You gotta look at the calorie content, the salt content and other stuff. People don't lose 'cause they think they can eat more of 'em.

I usually do about 20-30 minutes on the threadmill, then a series of Nautilus type machines (different brands, same principle), then another 20-30 minutes on the treadmill.
I alternate that with swimming.

Sugar and/or salt, from what I've seen.
