The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

It is a cool place, our Hobbit Hole!
And as for the map, I am hoping that one of the graphic artist folk can take the idea and run with it.
To: HairOfTheDog
Oh, the second map does not flood the lake. I think they have pompano and seatrout in that lake, along with, I am sure, redfish, catfish, tarpon and sharks.
Yeah, it's nice to have the friends we have here, bound by a common interest, and seemingly, uncommon courtesy and friendliness. It is reassuring to come here when things look a little black.

I think chickens can learn things:) I've been watching mine more since talking to you. You know how I have the fence around my patio. Well I really don't want the chickens in there scratching in my garden. But if I leave the gate open, once in a while a hen will come in. I have been chasing them out (btw, we just put that fence up this spring, so it is new to them). I noticed today now I only have to walk to the door and they go running out all in a panic. It's really funny.

I get off work early tonight. I'll take a whack at it when I get home.

WOO HOO!
To: Sam Cree
Are you having a dark day today Sam, or were you just sayin' it is nice at those times?
To: PayNoAttentionManBehindCurtain
Even a fish can learn, I guess. It can be pretty hard to catch the ones that live near humans, where most of them have seen a hook and line. There are ways, though, for those who have patience.

All the most important things are going good, which is to say, my kids and wife are happy and healthy. But sometimes, like now, less important, but still rather important, things can get off the reservation and make one sad and melancholy.
I am not complaining, however.
I do feel gratitude for this place and everyone who frequents it.
To: Sam Cree
You want to talk about the thing that is making you melancholy? Worried about you now!
To: RosieCotton
I have your address would you like me to send you some? How have you lived? Are you healthy? You must be weak and peaked dear. We need to get some queso with Rotel into you.

I don't know what Rotel is either.
To: RMDupree
Neither do I.
Please, say it isn't so!

You are reacting the way I was. Seems very few except Okies and Texans know what it is. Sad, so sad:)
Becky
To: Wneighbor
Ok, what is Rotel? Sounds like a brand of roach poison, to tell the truth.

Benny Hinn was really over the top. Do folks really believe in his healing abilities? Honestly? Yes, I do. If not for Benny Hinn's ministry I don't know that my neck would have been healed. A lot of people roll their eyes about that, but enough doctors gave a diagnosis that I'd be paralyzed that I have plenty of medical documentation. The doctor that I finally went through therapy with knows about me going for a miracle healing and he will vouch for the difference. He also laid hands on my neck and prayed. I believe it.

Take a case of it to your moot.
See ya later, going to church:)

I don't think I could, thanks.
But I am old and wise enough to recognize that what is potentially screwing up, even though it may go against my very sincere wishes, everything'll still be fine.
Or maybe we can defeat it, who knows yet.
I personally am in fine health, btw. Thank you so much for asking.
To: JenB
Ha! yeah, it does sound like roach poison. Isn't there a "roach motel" or something. The "Rotel."
I never heard of it either.
To: PayNoAttentionManBehindCurtain
I always buy the Original, IMO, it's about like a mild salsa. I have heard the hot is really hot. I buy the extra hot. Because for years the regular was a whole lot hotter than it is now. And it kept getting milder and milder. So, I get the extra hot so that there's some spice. I've never tried the mild. But, I don't see how is can be much milder than the regular anymore without being just tomatoes.

I'll keep you in my prayers, Sam, it's ok if you don't feel like sharing. God knows what you need anyway.
