Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Nope...I'm not due to see it until either the 29th, or Jan 5th.
It's torture...absolute torture.

Hullo to all the early viewers and reviewers! - Good comments already! - Looks like there is room for discussion here with everyone's different takes!
Rosie, I am so impressed that you went on the spur of the moment. That is such a cool thing to do!
I liked it.
There was a lot of good stuff in this!
There were alot of jokes. Some of them sounded an awful lot like our jokes! ;~D
I liked Faramir.
There was not nearly enough Legolas ;~D
I am not sure how the battle ended.
We were sitting way too close! ;~D
Still processing!

I am not sure how the battle ended. Care to elaborate for the uninitiated? You've got me curious.
To: ItsOurTimeNow
It just happened too fast, LOL... They were fighting, and then, suddenly, they weren't fighting anymore. I need to see it again. Further away from the screen, and a little more prepared for the sheer speed of this movie!

Good Morning, Bear et. al.
Not planning on taking any time off tomorrow?
I'm going to the 4:30 show and I usually get off from work at 4:00, so I just came in a half hour early and am leaving at 3:30.
To: HairOfTheDog
Was Frodo's little freak-out at Osgiliath as good as I've been hearing?
To: ItsOurTimeNow
I am not going to post a real well thought out review until after tomorrow night, because my brain is mush! And, I know that my first impressions last time didn't really hold!
Did I mention that there was not enough Legolas? ;~D
Frodo was heartbreaking. As was Sam.
I am goin' to bed now! Everyone have a great morning!
To: g'nad
Double lattes were not a hot enough fuel to keep up! Trust me! I think it was stuck in fast forward!
To: HairOfTheDog
I liked Faramir. He survived the revision process, then?
To: Lil'freeper
I liked him! - First impression, he was painted as more harshly changed than he really was. I think his attitude was reasonable and believable. I don't have a problem with his words and actions. I am not sure why we had to go to Osgoliath. What happened there could have happened anywhere, and they could have saved one whole extra set piece.
In this film, I could see the cuts, unlike FoTR. In other words... I think I saw where dialogue was missing that probably happened. I can picture the Extended DVD on this one, where I couldn't tell exactly was missing in FoTR, except for the gift scene, which we knew about.
Does that make sense? - Maybe not, until you have seen it.
To: HairOfTheDog
Am I going to bed now? I sure should.... I am just so wound up!
To: HairOfTheDog
Good night! - Good Morning!

Yeah, that makes sense. I, for one, cannot wait for the DVD and the ExDVD release(s) to get some of the behind-the-scenes footage from this movie.
LOL...I haven't even seen it yet, and I'm already looking forward to the DVD release.
To: g'nad
Methinks we'll all need some kind of "downer" after seeing this movie.
Legolas 'Ludes? LOL
