Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Wow, you were there weren't you Corin.
News. I can teach one class if I do it for a percentage of the pay for that class.
If I do that I would be getting shorted about 20% for the class but it is only taught on Monday Wednesday mornings from 8:30 to 12:15 (I would have to be here till 1:30)
I could do that and still look at Sam's and WalMart. It would help. That would end up $1600 over the next 11 weeks.
To: Corin Stormhands
I haven't seen him yet. Wasn't he taking a trip this weekend?

Going to Sam's, WalMart, and the nearest supermarket... inspired by OT to check there. It has a deli. One of my students is a deli manager. oh that would be great!
To: Wneighbor
While you're checking retail type places...is there something like a Borders nearby that might have openings? Hmmm...wouldn't THAT be a great place to have an employee discount!
To: RMDupree
Ugh! No thanks.
To: RMDupree; ksen
Last I remember, ksen was gonna try to go back and catch up on the week of posts he missed. Maybe he is still asleep.

inspired by OT to check there. It has a deli. They hire a bunch of cahsiers and baggers too.
To: Overtaxed
I wish I had a good deli sandwich right now...a great big one, like a corned beef or something.
To: Dawntreader
No, but I want to! I'm still mad I didn't get out and see it on the big screen.I don't ever remember even hearing about it! Our #1 son came home last week and told us that one of his friends had mentioned it. I enjoyed it a LOT! Besides all the cool fight sequences, it was a good story.
To: 2Jedismom
I had the same craving! I just picked up a turkey and swiss on toasted whole wheat from the coffee shop downstairs. LOL!

That's it! I'm going to Walmart!!
I'm starving and they have a great deli...
To: 2Jedismom
Had a pastrami sandwich for lunch....
To: g'nad
I'm in... aslong as there's an axe in the tat... we need to discuss placement too... I'll look around for a good design that includes an axe! These are temporary tats. They'll last about 3 weeks.
To: Overtaxed
Mmmm!! That's it...isn't that what they serve at some of the delis some place...great big towering patramis? That is what I want.
To: 2Jedismom
...with cheese....
To: Overtaxed
cheese did in the thread, OT. ;)

I thought maybe everyone went out for pastrami and Swiss.

I am a failure as a woman. ROFLOL.
I know just how you feel:)
Even my husband tells me I think more like a man then I do a woman, (he always means that as a complement too). I hate shopping. I do 99.9% of my shopping on Fri. If I forget something then we do without if at all possible. And all that shopping I do at Wal-Mart, and Albertsons because they are closest too home.
Our church is taking registration for a ladies retreat and is really pushing me to go. The thought of sitting around for 3 days in nice clothes with a bunch of women, talking crafts, and garage sales and silly games sounds absolutly boring beyond imagination. Nothing against the women personally, but I just can't do it. Sounds like you might know what I mean.
