Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Hey, sis...if we ever do meet...you could do me a favor? Could you pick me up a chili petin plant? Not a "Pequin" which has small conical peppers, but "petin" (aka tepin) with the tiny absolutely round peppers? They grow wild in the Hill Country and I know you can get the plants at Gardenville in Austin...is there a Gardenville near you?
My salsa isn't the same without a few chili petins!

Kindof like a mean drunk instead of a fuzzy pushover! Sorta like the difference between me and g'nad?

*cough* Turn yer head when you do that boy...

Okay, I'm now caught up...and I'm leaving.
Got to print out a couple of things for the pool, then head to bed. See y'all sometime tomorrow.

I don't know! which of you scratches and hisses?
To: HairOfTheDog
Good job with the cat- you're far braver than I. I'm thankful my two ornries are shorthaired.
To: Lil'freeper
Good Morning! My short hair wanted me to get up early today. :)
I'm getting worried here watching the Weather Channel....hope the race isn't rained out this evening.
To: Overtaxed
Getting ready for church here... it's beautiful today. The weatherman was completely wrong about this weekend, yay!
What race?

Good Morning All; Annie let Susan sleep this a.m. a bit of a change, she wasn't starving(as usual) for some unknown reason. Just got back from Samantha's walk, mailing letters, and getting a paper.
Yesterday was most excellent. After we cut and screwed in the backing boards and put up the tar paper, we cut and nailed up the replacement clap boards. It really looks good, if I do say so myself. Ready for priming and painting, and caulking. Surprised how well it all went together, generally not the usual course of action. The "mushroom" factor is always lurking. lol.

Good Morning!
Rainy here this morning with a few good downpours. Just having breakfast and coffee with Her Majestey....Her Majesty isn't having coffee, just cat food.

Tricksey meteorologists. They says the big yellow round thing would come out today. They lies.
We hates them...

Good morning!
I will be doing life-maintenance today, cleaning and laundry. tomorrow is the big barbeque up at the beach house. I guess 20 people are coming.
(I wonder if they will hiding the cat)
To: HairOfTheDog
Having a nice late morning, Hair?
Back from church and plotting. I think I will grace the Borders with my presence this afternoon!
Tomorrow we also barbeque, but we'll only have the nine of us... all the people we might invite are out of town. Except Grandma. And I hope we're not inviting her. I still haven't forgiven her over taking my room back at the end of April.

You have to forgive her for taking your room, Jen.
Yes, very late morning. Fed horses and went back to bed. Slept half the morning away! And I am still not moving, but I am having coffee and getting ready to.

Sounds pleasant!

Gorgeous LoTR Locations Map5/25/03, 11:46 am EST - Demosthenes
Ringer Spy Tar Ancalimë sent us a full list of LoTR locations a couple of weeks ago from a map compiled by the NZ Film Commision. Now, we have the entire map for your viewing pleasure, painstakingly scanned and pieced together. [More] Ancalimë also writes that the New Zealand Film Comission site, has a special feature for LoTR you might like to check out. You can find a version of this map on "locations" section. [More]

Ok... I'll see everyone later on. Off to the bookstore and to visit with my evil grandmother. See you later!

Tricksey Weather Weenies! Guess I'll just do wings in the oven today and save the barbecue for tomorrow.
Just finished hauling trash and grocery shopping. Now I'm doing laundry, watching the "other" race, job hunting, and house hunting. Found a nice house in KS with 20 acres at the top of my price range....now what would I do with 20 acres? :)
