Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I can't wait for the first man to play in the LPGA. I wonder if the dialog will be the same. Men could then dominate the LPGA too. A small handful of professional women golfers could be all that is left. Yup... real step forward for women this is. :-P

The new dwarvling arrived on 12 May, 1135... 8 lbs 13 oz, 22 inches... big hands... big feet... and um... well you get it...

I can't wait for the first man to play in the LPGA. Interesting note to that. PGA rules don't specify any gender. They say "best golfer." LPGA rules say "best female golfer" so, if you want to go there, you're going to have to do a court challenge of discrimination or see a physician about some changes.

They just gave more info on that high speed semi-chase. It was a filming of Smokey and the Bandit 6.
Okay, not really. But, they said it started a county east of Dallas. The truck was spotted traveling west in the east-bound lane of the interstate. This is why they started chasing him. They chased all the way west through Dallas county and then into the next county to the west before he crashed.
Now, why didn't he just stay on the correct side of the highway? Reckon he was a Brit?
