Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

It is cool when it is 'normal' for you to do whatever you want in life.
I am sure there are a lot of adventurous women, and adventurous minorities, who will be thrilled when people stop talking about how cool it is for someone of your "type" to be doing something.

It seems that it's possible for her to make the cut but will be challenging. They have been talking about her all morning on this talk show I listen to out of DFW. I have a lot of respect for that lady. I am not a sports fan (except motorsports) but I have followed this a bit. Reminds me of the old stories of Babe Dietrichson. (sp?) I am wishing her well.
Caller on the talk show now is pointing out that the game of golf is actually a competition of golfer against golf course. Not man against man/ woman against woman like a boxing match or something. Good point!
