Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Well, I wrote down the address. I'm gonna pray tonight and let Myranda have the address tomorrow. I don't know if she will want it now.
When she asked for it we had first moved here and she was feeling very lost and insecure. She says she doesn't think much of him. Walking out, no visits, no child support etc. But, she did ask right after we moved here. I couldn't find anything then.
But, when looking for g'nad I stumbled on looking in county records. Her dad was from g'nad's state, same first letter of last name as g'nad so I was just looking to check as I looked for the g'nads. Never did find him there but then I found the Texas county lists and there he was.

Well, with the bio terror involved it would seem very wise to patrol our water supplies. I would have to give an approval on that one I believe.

Oh yeah! When he told us to stay alert, he meant it and it impressed me that he would ask us...involve us. I told him we sure would and then when he drove off, I sat with the boys and told them how that man was helping to keep us safe.

I think if all of us stay aware and report truly suspicious things - no goony crank calls - then we will be very well set on the homeland defense. Do we need people in charge, yes. But, normal people being aware is the #1 defense.
(she says as she sits home and refuses to leave the house when people call)

On the way home, we stopped at a coney place and got coneys and Mountain Dew. Once again, as I sat there laughing and eating coneys with my family, I got the feeling that it was all surreal...like I couldn't have gotten better if I'd put in a special order.
Well, my laundry is dry, so I'm getting cleaned up and going to bed. Good night!

I'm going back and catching up on the thread today now. I think it's probably a good thing I wasn't here for this. Too emotional right now. My grama is too bad off. And I'm hanging onto memories even because she is no longer just 1/2 hour down the road and I don't see her 3 or 4 times a week.
