Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

And if everyone even wanted to really tie one on, I wouldn't mind, if they wouldn't mind waiting till the boys went to bed.

I really don't think it will be a problem as long as you and ksen don't have a problem with your kids seeing alcohol. I don't do ugly drunk anymore.

I usually just fall asleep.

I'm pretty sure Ruthy already checked that out. I've lost the link (and don't wanna go lookin' for it right now).

I also suggested to ksen that when he goes over to sign us up he check out the equipment, etc. I'm also driving and can bring extra if we need to.

Actually we were rude enough to have you call us. But I'll check it out. I've gotta run for now. I have a meeting with the pool manager and the lifeguards at 7:00 I've got to get ready for.

The only think that I could possibly think might be objectionable would be if everyone started blending up one pitcher of drinks after another, say while we're all sitting around watching the movies. And I don't even see this as a problem if my kids are in bed...heck, they hit the sack at 8pm.

I never have more than 17 drinks in one sitting...;-)

Seriesly though, I personally don't intend to drink during the movies. 1) that'll be earlier in the day so we can get 'em all three in and 2) I'd just end up falling asleep.

Well, a pitcher of drinks doesn't go very far with 10 people! - It might take a couple pitchers to make a round!

I hope it is OK, and I hope we are all as polite as I think we are, and that if there was a problem, you would not be afraid to voice it.

True enough that I wouldn't be able to concentrate on the movies if there was drinking going on.... I think we will all be pretty focused.

I can assure you, we would never disrupt what anyone was doing with our own selfish demands!! If we felt uncomfortable, we'd find something else to do and not think one ill thought of anyone!

Gosh, Florida sounds like a fun place...I can't imagine being bored!! The kids and I were sitting on a towel in the yard drinking our malts pretending we were on the beach in Florida!
