Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I think the six foot ones would make me feel claustrophobic!
So I'm right in thinking I'd want to use the six foot posts, and trim only if I couldn't possibly get them two feet in?
I'd have to borrow a fence post digger, too, but I know who has one of those, so that's no big deal.
Like I said, this will probably be next year, but I can always plan! And if I suddenly come into extra money this summer, maybe I'll just go for it - it would look a lot nicer than what I have now, for one! And though Fiona hasn't made ANY attempts to get out, I'd feel more secure if I had a "real" fence.

I updated my uh, personal page. Just added photos. Don't have photos scanned for my oldest grandaughter or s-i-l but will get those when school starts back up again. Don't want to go to work while I'm off just to do that.

Well, for a really small yard, the six footers would be claustrophobic.... But if you wanted to sunbathe out there without skivvies, it would be the only way to go. ;~D

Doesn't Jr. have that choral thing in Raleigh in June? Or are you not going? Oh yeah. He's currently pi$$in' me off, so I'm not thinking that far ahead.
That's the first stop on his choir tour. They're going on to Georgia from there. I'm supposed to be in Kentucky that weekend, but don't think I'll make it. If that doesn't work out we might indeed head down to Raleigh. It's not that far from here.
I'll let you know for sure.
