Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

"I like to watch..." My post looks like yours when they are multiples of the same thing......
To: Corin Stormhands
Nope. I didn't see that.
To: Wneighbor
Okay, it is difficult to see the computer screen thru the backs of my eyelids. See y'all tomorrow.
To: Wneighbor
Oh, scuse me, the "watch" comment referred back to the ballet comment.
g'nite.

OKC got hit hard and the storm was heading right for us...I mean, they were telling us here in the town I live in to take cover. Since we don't have a basement, that meant sitting in our hall. I set it up (blankets, weather radio), got the boys dressed in jeans and shoes and then we monitored the news...the storm disintegrated just a few miles from us...the same storm that tore up OKC just fell apart just a couple of miles away...even the weather guy couldn't believe it.
We didn't even get a sprinkle.
WHEW!

You were prayed for lady. I've been watching the radar.
To: Wneighbor
Thank you! We were really worried, because it was heading right toward us...you know I don't really live in Tulsa...I just say that because everyone knows where Tulsa is and because I don't like my real town mentioned on line...But it was really heading right towards us...just minutes away. Then it fell apart!
Poor OKC area...that's two hard hits since we moved here. About the same time of year too...May 3rd in 1999.

2JM: glad to hear it; looked like it was heading your way alright. Ours are basically north and south of us again, the storms seem to be coming a bit more often this year.

Want to know something spooky? One of my best friends also shares our name. She lives in Waco now but she's from Sepulpa and her family is still there. So, my ears have perked up for a long time over that area.
I just think this name thing is pretty weird. I haven't known THAT many of us through my life.
To: Wneighbor
Your name is Kim too?
Who is Mrs. Field.
Glad you like weather.
Good night all.
To: 2Jedismom
Glad, once again, that you (and yours) are Ok today.
To: Wneighbor
That's just across the river me from me, if you could cross the river that way...there isn't a bridge there...you have to go way down the river or up it to a bridge to get there.
I used to live in Sapulpa!

Hi Suzi, I thought I'd share with you my evening... my sister and I watched the "Vision of Escaflowne" movie. It was very different from the anime series but still good... Escaflowne is probably the loveliest anime I've seen.
Tomorrow night we finish off "Lost Universe". I was going to get some "Slayers" next, but after that Escaflowne I think my plans have changed.
Does your daughter like Escaflowne? Has she seen it?
