The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

So if Lil'Freeper isn't home when Frodo arrives, will they just leave the poor hobbit waiting at the front door?

Uh, is anyone interested in a chatview Thursday night?Glad to hear the doctor visit went well. I have one tomorrow; a follow-up from when I had the heart flibbertygibbets last year.
I can't chat-view cause I don't have a DVD player in my computer, and the TV is in the basement. My computer is the oldest of the 6 in use in the house, and I only just got an upgrade to 256MB and an optical mouse! Clare and John are the only two with the DVD players, I think. Maybe I can run her out of her room! LOL!
Nah, but I'll be happy to 'chat' while y'all view, for a while. I have to go to a Boy Scout meeting with Joseph to collect money for Summer Camp. I'll be home a little after 8:30 EDT.
To: HairOfTheDog
Wheee! I can't wait!
To: Wneighbor
in 5 weeks she turns 18. what will she do then?I suspect she'll still be gettin yelled at by her Mama if she stands out in a storm!!
To: Lil'freeper
Should be there tomorrow!
I hope you have fun with him and take him to fun places!

He likes my motorcycle and thinks I'm special. The kid's got good taste!
To: Lil'freeper
Frodo will be just fine. Whew! I should think that Frodo would like a bit to eat and some tea after his long voyage.
To: ecurbh
You can do that on your own little home computer these days. You can get a special paper that is an Iron-On decal. Just design it, print it out and iron it on. We could even do the ironing on down there, if we want! We could all bring our own t-shirts in the size and color we prefer. You could play with using the Hobbit Hole picture like Bear used for the bookplates and put 'Entmoot 2004' on it.
To: SuziQ
Really? That's cool! We could even personalize them with each person's handle, or have different designs for hobbits, elves and dwarves.
I'm still not sure if I'll be able to make to MA this summer. I have to save funds for a digital camera and entmoot. But if mom and dad offer to spring for my ticket, I can probably afford to use whatever vacation time I have saved up by then. I would really like to do it because I have not seen my Grandmother for about 4 years now. And there are a couple cousins who are now teenagers that I haven't seen since they were toddlers.

I just picked up some provisions from the commissary- extra bacon for the hobbit. (altho we did eat a bit already; very good on pizza.)
To: Lil'freeper
Mushrooms! What about the mushrooms?!
To: Overtaxed
Hmmm, no mushrooms. Big'ol doesn't hold with keeping fungus in the house.
To: Lil'freeper
Poor Frodo!
To: Overtaxed
Yes, well. Considering the deprivation he endured on other adventures being without mushrooms but otherwise well fed shouldn't be too hard on the little fella.
To: Lil'freeper
True. Bet he'll be glad to get out of that box.
To: SuziQ
I suspect she'll still be gettin yelled at by her Mama if she stands out in a storm!! The hardest thing about her going to Germany this summer to visit her sister is that I will not be there for her 18th birthday. The Hobbit Hole may have to hold my hand the whole day!
