The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I tried to stop her Hair. Honest I did.
To: Corin Stormhands
Oh, well then. Magic Kingdom is a better choice.
Like I said, I'm game for whichever place we choose. It'll be cool just because I'll be with all of you!

Smeagol and the Dwarf...
One won't survive the third movie....hmmmm...would couldst that be?
To: Corin Stormhands
apparently the dwarf's grammar won't survive either...
To: ecurbh
Think I'll just sit on the beach and stare at the water. I don't like crowds.
To: Corin Stormhands
We've already had this discussion...
It ends with me saving Middle Earth from certain annihilation. If it weren't for the fact I sacrified myself by throwing myself into Mt. Doom, who knows what would have happened to hobbits, dwarves, and men.

I don't want to tie the group down if the general preference is elsewhere. Since we're doing it on the way out of town, I'm just planning on allowing Jr. to decide what he wants to do. We'll leave whichever park and head towards home.

Third Movie?
Who was the breakout star of the 2nd movie? I was.
Who adorns t-shirts, screen savers? I do.
Dwarves are a dime a dozen..
Smeagol is one of a kind.
I'm all cuddly and wriggily...
...and a little demented, but that's part of my charm. And I'm working it baby, I'm working it.

Well...it could happen! LOL
Seriously, the bunnies have obliterated everything in the garden but what we have chicken wire around and it's fine. The salad and peas and carrots and radishes are doing great. The tomato plants are just stubs.
So as long as I can fence them out of where I want them out, they can stay.

If it weren't for the fact I sacrified myself by throwing myself into Mt. Doom...
Smeagol apparently has been reading the [FR Fifth Amendment] "correctly translated" version.
To: Corin Stormhands
I was there... and I knew what I did... the rest are democratic lies and spins...
Rave on Master Dwarf... I know what happened.

Whoa!! Probablility in the 3rd gr.? I guess that's good though, it will ease him into it and not allow a phobia to be created about Statistics. SSQ is a PhD in Statistics, and his students were always scared about the subject. He tutored one of his older sisters when she did a class for her Masters Program in Nursing. He can't imagine why anyone would be worried about it.
Heh. Heh. I did the bare minimum of Math in College for my BA; I've never even taken anything past College Algebra and certainly never took Trig. or Calculus! Our kids got their Math and Computer smarts from him! That's ok, they get their History and Language Arts smarts from me. Hey! I ain't never failed English yet!
To: SuziQ
I'm proud to say Matthew finished 3rd grade Math today. Made a 100% on his final exam.
