Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

always make sure to "pit stop" during the previews to avoid having to get up during the film.
Speaking of previews, is it just me or were there an annoying amount of them before TTT? There must have been at least 10 at all three times I went to see it (and at differetnt theatres each time).

That sounds excellent! I really didn't expect to like my job as much as I do so that's been a great bonus in itself. I work with great folks and really haven't had the high level of normal negative junk that we think of as going with any job. Like I said, it's been a major blessing in many areas that I didn't even count on. And I've had lots of time with my daughter which was the reason I did it anyway.
Yep. Pretty new. Was lurking forever. Then school got slow and I jumped in before the holidays. Than had to leave for my 10 day holiday time off. hehehe. Didn't get that at the old jobs.

From what I understand they block almost nothing, because of "academic freedom" - i.e. students need access to everything on the internet because they might need to do "research", even stuff that might normally be blocked. Can I just say I'm studying conservative Tolkien fanatics?

Ruthie while I was doing my home for the holidays tour we saw the film another 4 times in addition to the 2 times before I left. The second time at home, I paid attention because those previews were so annoying. They lasted 34 minutes. too too much.
Isn't that about the amount of time we get on the extended version? Couldn't they just let us see the extra movie material?

There were WAY too many previews, and outright commercials now, for Coke, and Volvo, and Yeeessh. Way too much. They should run them in the middle of the film, so we can get up and intermiss!
