Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Well, now I am completely baffled. Now the web host's homepage is back up, completely back to normal, with no sign of the page that said they were gone. I'm thinking maybe they got hacked. I'll have to keep a close eye on it for a few days, see if they put up a news release about it. Wierd.

Argh! I was sitting here going thru files and had Road to Perdition playing on the computer. I got a free trial from Netflix (I'll be cancelling Monday). But it froze up on me. I'm gonna go try it in the real DVD. I'll be bummed if it doesn't work...

We love Netflix; been members since Oct. of 2000. We were early enough that we still get 4 DVDs at a time for $20, instead of 3. I found out tonight about some movies that I'd missed at the theater, so I'll have to add them to my Rental Queue.
They moved one of the distribution centers to Worcester, so when we mail a movie back, the get it the next day! Makes for great turnaround time now!

Anybody up yet? I've got the hot caffeinated tea on. Dwarves don't want any it's a real elfy flavor. Bali Rasberry but it's black tea so it'll get me going for a day in the gardens.

Your daughter is SALLY FIELDS?! Yeah. It about fits too. Scary, now that you mention it. Long dark hair, chocolate brown eyes, ear to ear smile, real petite little thing (didn't get that from mom), and she's going to seminary to be a youth pastor so she has acquired the nickname "nun" at school.

Well, I've about given up on getting any tomatoes and peppers out this year. Money for tilling and dirt in my new front yard garden has all gone in other directions. So, I dug up a spot by the front porch to try to stick a tomato in. See if I can't root around in the existing flower/herb bed and find a hot sunny spot for a pepper.
And that's my agenda for the day.... except for waiting for the mechanic for my pickup.

Hopefully I'll get the rest of the garden tilled today, the marigolds and parsley transplanted, and hopefully the beans in. I have tomatoes and peppers to put in but I don't think I'll get to it this weekend.

You're doin' all this stuff at the "other" place - right?
So, if you go to KC you're thinkin' you'll just lease your place there or are you going to put it up for sale? I remember the photo you posted back when the ice storm terminated the tree. It looks like you've got a nice little place out in the woods there.
