Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Something like that would be great!
And a week at $2300 is not bad at all with a group of any size.... Though most of you aren't staying all week. - Ah well, we can do the math when we have numbers.
Keep looking though.... one with a few more beds would be good, even if it didn't have all the fun and games that one has.

That "house" was pretty cool Corin! We'd probably need something twice as big, or we could rent two houses within (hopefully) walking distance of each other.
Being that Entmoot is in January, the sooner we now the headcount, the sooner we can firm up accomodations. Needless to say, January is a popular time of the year for Florida so things may fill up fast.

Hm...maybe we could put families in one (especially those with small kids, who might need to get to bed a little earlier than the rest of us...) and the rest of us in the other?

It's pretty costly though. $2600 a week for both!
We'd have to break that down into manageable amounts for each person / family.
But I do really love the idea of all of us hanging out together in a house chit-chatting for all hours. :)

Coral Castle.

Ruthy - that is cheap. A lot cheaper than a hotel at 60-100 per night per person!
IF only ten showed up it would be $260 bucks for a week, and I think a lot more than ten are coming. We could probably even pro-rate it for folk that are only staying the weekend, or maybe we would need both houses for only the weekend, and just one for any extra days.

I didn't think of that, Hair! LOL! I was thinking in terms of bedrooms, so I was dividing by 6! Whoops!
I don't think they care if we stay a week or a weekend, but I don't expect that they will cut us a break on the price either. Entmoot is in peak season.
