Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I'm here! Sorry I'm late, but Becky is here at work with me again. She's helping me put together sweepstakes entries. I just won a $50 Toys R Us gift card, so Becky is thrilled about her upcoming shopping spree. LOL!

She is going through a Strawberry Shortcake / Pokemon craze right now, so a DVD of each outta do the trick! I hope to have a few bucks left over to get Alyson something too. :)

Hash browns and home fries are on the hot plate and next to that are the 7 platters of bacon, sausage links and fried ham slices. There's a bowl of sausage gravy on the table next to the basket full of fresh baked buttermilk biscuits. ENJOY!

Has it ever occurred to you , Corin, that being there for your boys is EXACTLY the thing that you need to be doing?

Yes, I do know that. And I was thinking about that last night at the ballgame. My "to do" list was running through my mind and I said to myself "No, the most important thing I can be doing right now is watching this game." And I know that.

I'm really okay. And I can drudge along here as long as I need to. But it's frustrating to be here and think we're wasting resources on projects that just aren't going anywhere. That's the conservative in me. If it doesn't need to be done. Get rid of it. Even if it's my job.

Thanks for breakfast and coffee Ruthy. You know it's not a good day when I have my afternoon snack in the morning...it's okay I can have the morning snack this afternoon. But it's tuna. I'm sick of tuna...(basically every morning, with some exceptions, since January).

You know, however, that once g'nad is back, you'll need more than 7 platters of bacon...

1 mug of cafe con leche
1 Rice Krispie treat
1 Bonbel cheese and
1 Handful of bunny shaped SweeTarts.

I am the LAST person to lecture of good eating habits.

Oh and as far as the bacon rations go, I just got a Costco Wholesale Club membership, so we're in good shape!

Who was it that enjoyed Latin so much?

I was just looking at that word suppository and wondering if it shares the same Latin root with suppose. If it does, I wonder how it relates to the medication.

I just paid off my Sam's club credit card! Praise the Lord! When I got my state income tax back, I paid the whole thing off! Woohoo!

Now as soon as the Fed income tax comes in, I'll have the MBNA card paid off and we'll be debt free except for our mortgage!!

Steve's school will even be all paid up...pretty good to be almost finished with your masters and owe no student loans!! (His employer helps a little...)

This is something I'm going to work towards over the next year or two. I didn't buy ANYTHING on credit until fairly recently - I actually had a hard time when I bought my house because I'd always paid cash for everything - but now I have credit card debt. At least my car is paid off!

Credit DID let me get the swell bow I got last weekend...but it's just too easy to use!

We're fixin' to start school for the day, so I'm trying to catch up on my emails and such...

I positively hate credit card debt. We only use it in emergencies...like the car breaking down or something, when we need to pay for something expensive.

Except the Sams Card. I was sinful with it. I love buying stuff at Sams! I even love the card it's self! They take a picture of you and it's part of the card, you know? Well, my picture is me and both my jedis all scrunched up cheek to cheek! LOL
