Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Oh, I'm being pretty good in person! I wouldn't say things like this in RL, only here to you guys because you're my friends.

*laughing* My grandfather loved Lawrence Welk!!!I don't know the truth, but I have a feeling there were only about a half a dozen shows performed. Every time I was up there (and I spent most of many summers up there) there would be the same shows even I had seen before. I would ask "Grandma, how many times have you seen these?" and she would say "Hmmm... I am not sure I have ever seen this one before! - Oh I do love this gal singing though!"

FROM TORN:
TTT DVD Release Dates Confirmed
Tookish @ 12:42 pm EST

From Ringer
Sylvan:
Greetings!
I work in a small independent rental video retailer, and was quite pleased upon arriving at work today to find we had received an official release date for The Two Towers! This came in the form of a CD-ROM "Digital Announce Kit" which contains everything from upcoming TV & radio promos, ad slicks and product images (including packaging art and DVD menu images), to computer wallpaper and icons, as well as two "countdown" screensavers. It also had a hi-res poster scan, very clever interactive menus "hosted" by Gollum featuring a 3 minute retailer trailer outlining the upcoming Merchandising Campaign, and most importantly, all of the pre-order and release date information. Release date for the Theatrical Edition will be August 26th, and the Extended Edition will be November 18th. I have uploaded a few of the images for your perusal. Enjoy!
From Tookish: We're updating our scrapbook at the moment and will post the accompanying pictures to this report soon!
Click the pic on the right for details on what extras will be in the theatrical....

Thought it said "hanging the cat." Perish the thought!
*Yawn* I've been practicing the cat lifestyle....napping this afternoon and watching the Cubbies lose. I might go out amongst the herbs after I finish washing the cat's fountain.

Afternoon. Just checking in. Needing a nap that I'm not going to get.
ecurbh: I'm assuming since you've moved the Hole, we have a new link for the graphic. Would you prefer I save it and host the graphic myself with the link to the Hole. And speaking of which, what's that link again? Thanks.
Happy Easter all. Checking out now.
To: Overtaxed
I actually napped for almost half an hour now. Almost dinnertime... maybe I will get a good night's sleep tonight.

And speaking of which, what's that link again?Actually, it has not moved yet, but I am working on it. It will be a couple more days at least before its ready to go. I'll be sure to let everyone know the new link. The current one is http://lotr.ecurbh.com/journeys/. And the old site will remain active for a while with redirects to the new one so there is not an immediate rush to change the links. Oh, and I have no problem hosting the graphic myself. I have plenty of bandwidth, so that is not an issue.
To: ecurbh
Neither link, the FR Hobbit Hole OR the Flat Frodo graphic/link are working on my home page.
No hurry on my part, just let me/us know when to change things.
Thanx for all you're doing.

Sticklebats! - Bay needs the vet out.
I rested a bit and convinced myself to go ride, and was bathing Bay in preparation for that, when I see he has a pretty swollen sheath. Tender to the touch, didn't particularly appreciate the hose either. I have been able to get a hose and my hand up in there before to at least clean what I can, but today he was not going to have any of it. He came as close as he ever does to threatening to kick me, but mostly he just hopped around. It takes sedatives to really get ahold of *him* anyway, so I will call the vet tomorrow.
I longed him a bit and he seemed lethargic, managing only a half-interested jog instead of his usual trot, so I decided to not ride. He doesn't act poopy just to get out of work. I think he is pretty uncomfortable.
He has needed cleaning at least once a year before. As an aside, I worry about his urinary health because he won't pee in the stall. I am going to ask the vet if he could develop bladder trouble because of it.

Things always look a mess when rearranging the furniture! That's exactly how our house looks, and we have company. And people are still cranky!
In other news, I need some help with a cookie recipe that the Mrs. needs to take to school tomorrow. Can't currently figure out how to bake them because we're apparently using the wrong baking pan.
Anyone available to help? I could try to meet you in chat, if Yahoo will let me in...
To: HairOfTheDog
Ouch!
Here's hoping Bay makes a quick and complete recovery!

Here's hoping Bay makes a quick and complete recovery! My sentiments exactly. I hope he just needs a big horse pill to make him better.
To: Corin Stormhands
Hmmm, just took a look and the whole site seems to be down. My other sites on the same server are working fine, so it's probably just a setting I messed up when rearranging things yesterday. I'll have to check things out when I get home from work.

He needs a cleaning.
winmag, do yours need annual cleaning? - My stallion didn't, only did it as a checkup if he was breeding, but Bay sure does need it regularly, and so does my friend's gelding.

I can't get into chat. I'm still trying tho. Disabled the firewall and the privacy service, will reboot and try again, I could see you guys there...
But it was kinda like "A Christmas Carol." The ghost of yahoo was taking me around, but you didn't know I was there...
To: Corin Stormhands
At least it's not like "A Christmas Story"... you might shoot your eye out.
By the way, what browser are you using?
