Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Hah, I complain about other people's poor English and mispell such a silly little word: Their.
I give up.

Spend time today contemplating what you can do to justify His sacrifice.Last Sunday, our Pastor used the example of "Saving Private Ryan", and Tom Hank's characters last words to Ryan, "EARN THIS" as a way of pointing out the very idea in your tagline. It was a good sermon.

What did you think of that guy on the first page of the Dispatch I sent out?Hubba hubba?
To: HairOfTheDog
Well, take a pic at what you think is right, and then perhaps one at each setting plus or minus one! By the time I get the film developed I would have forgotten what the settings were!

OT: sounds like a plan but hasn't ever worked for me, good luck. I got sidetracked on the timber project and opted to do beds instead. I have another solvent order coming in next week and I have to do something with all the vermiculite from the last time. :)

Thanks. I'll have to see if I can find Dad's hand-held light meter thingy next weekend...and the manual. How much trouble is it to change a meter battery in a Pentax K1000?
To: Sam Cree
With the hairiest butt I'v ever seen... I could've gone all weekend without that image Sam. ;-)

I made my monthly, and in case of the outlet mall semi-annual, visit to the great shrines of capitalism: the mall and Walmart. On Saturday???? I'd rather have a root canal than have to go to Walmart on a Saturday...
To: SuziQ; ksen
SSQ and I are gonna try to get away for a weekend soon. Looking for a tax deduction of your own?
To: Corin Stormhands
On Saturday???? Couldn't be avoided this time around unfortunately. :(

Lest, I funkle I will move on. Am running Scandisk on the old system that we're giving to the trampy neice (she's actually doing well in school and can use it, but she's also very "available" - pregnant at 15, baby was stillborn - thought she was pregnant again at 17, wasn't - now has a one year old - three different guys, not married, but who's judging?)
My b-i-l is on his way back after his golf game to haul stuff to the church for the yard sale in a couple of weeks. We took a load of crap to the dump this morning.
Is it irreverant for me to say when he shows "Behold the brother-in-law, who taketh away the crap of the house?"
Yeah, guess it is. Later.

I'm not familiar with that model, but its usually pretty easy to change the battery. The only tricky part is making sure you get the right size and voltage. I usually take the old one with me to the store to find the right match.

I don't really like going into WalMart too much either, though Jeanne likes them. Luckily there's not one very close.
They do have stuff though, and decent pricing.

I'm looking for the manual online (haven't found the one at home.) First I have to figure out how to access the thing.
To: ecurbh
Oh yeah....right here where it says "Battery"...duh....
To: Corin Stormhands
Sorry about that image, was just complaining, we've had the same model 3 times recently. He is OK to draw, very defined muscles.
OTOH, Monday night the model is an attractive blonde young lady who is in terrific shape, a karate black belt, looks great undressed, completely inspiring. If I describe her, I'll probably be in trouble. Curves and angles where they belong, though.
She is pretty enough that I think it's a little intimidating trying to draw her.
Much better than drawing a fish or a deer.

By the time I get the film developed I would have forgotten what the settings were! By the time you get the film developed you will have replaced the little battery!

How would you know that I was not at the end of the roll?

And let me just go on the record here. You have my axe, but I will not use it in a murder-for-hire scheme...Dwarf ethics?
