Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I figure that will work for the mint as well. 10-4...... but you probably don't even have to pinch that. If I walk by it the fragrance stirs.
Course you gotta have clear sinuses first. Need to get over those allergies.
To: Overtaxed
Psssst....technically basil - and oregano - are mints. Family. But different genus. Most of the good smellys are mint family. :-) just makes for good stuff to be a mint.

Need to get over those allergies. Maybe it's the one covered with the yellow pollen? No, that would be everything...
To: Corin Stormhands
You answered it. Ignorance. See now, that's why I don't go to those threads. I'd be on that gurney in emergency waiting for 8 hours like Ruthy if I did that all the time. I'd just never make a real meteorologist like you and ksen and vim. I need to have these contacts person to person where I can get right up into ignoramous' face and shake my finger and repeat their own words back to 'em till they either realize how stupid their own words are - or shut up because they're sick of me in their faces.
To: HairOfTheDog
Are either of them emulsifiers? No but they're anti-oxidants.

I'd just never make a real meteorologist like you and ksen and vim. You must've missed where I called that guy a "yankee vermin moron"....

And they taste good Hair!!! They all taste good! Let's get serious here, it's all about gratification of the senses. I don't have a plumber coming over so I have to settle for grazing on the leaves from my yard.

You must've missed where I called that guy a "yankee vermin moron".... No, I didn't miss that part. That was one of my favorite parts.

I gotta run for a bit. Going back to school. Got to get ready for class tonight. I forgot my digital camera this morning. I was going to send some photos of my wormwood to you OT. But, somebody is going to have to tell me how when I get back to school. I know, we discussed this earlier. Have to have a webpage or something. I don't. But, someone will help OT and Bear and whoever else see my wormwood.

I don't have a plumber coming over The last plumber I had here asked if he could feed my horse to his tiger.

The last plumber I had here asked if he could feed my horse to his tiger. Was that while you had Flat Frodo in your living room? That could have been your problem.

I hope this isn't happening at 2Js...

As far as I can see, there's a surprising number people on FR who actually hate the South. I wonder that they are not Democrats. And their moral superiority is misplaced, it's very reminiscent to me of a New Yorker talking about "flyover" country, except for the added hatred.

That could have been your problem. Well, I am not sure the relationship really could have worked... I mean, His pets may love my pets, but where would they build a home together?

but where would they build a home together? It's not like they'd need a long-term lease...

As far as I can see, there's a surprising number people on FR who actually hate the South. I think that's ignorance too Sam. Let's face it, if you're not Southern, we're hard to understand.
And what really pi$$e$ them off is that we just don't care what they think about us.
To: Corin Stormhands
You'd think they'd be happier if the South had won its independence and was no longer part of the U.S.
That wizard guy lists Eisenhower, Reagan, and W. as people he admires. Not much chance they'd share some of his attitudes, though.

I think his kids were grown by then and his wife probably ate with him?Maybe I'm wierd (maybe?) but eating out every night doesn't sound very appealing to me. But then, when the kids are grown and gone, it might start sounding better!

Sorry to hear about your cardiac problems. 2J and I have been having palpitations on and off for a while. I think mine is pre-menopausal. I don't think that is 2J's problem or yours. I had the echo-cardiogram and Holder monitor done, and the Cardio guy said there was no underlaying heart disease, so that was good news.
Heart wierdness is very stress-sensitive, so that could be a large part of your problem. Do you have allergies to pollen, etc.? Sometimes when the pollen is really bad here, I'll get a very strong tightness in my chest and have difficulty breathing. The first time it happened I wondered about my heart, but it happened whether I was stressed or not, so I just went on the assumption it was allergies.
Hope your doc can find out what's up.
