Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Here again? So soon?

lecithin, and mono- and di-glycerides. And those are what exactly? - Are they animal, vegetable or mineral?

You can't expect me to ignore Dwarf-moot AND a full moon in the same week. Not to mention the full moon AT Dwarf-moot...
To: HairOfTheDog; Overtaxed
Don't start with me...

Maybe I could be a meteorologist. Ministry keeps me a meteorologist in FR. I have enough debates when I'm off on the road in ministry. Here, with ya'll, I'm just allowing myself to stay out of confrontations as much as possible. Ya'll are my comfort friends.

Lecithin is a phospholipid, the glycerides are fatty acid esters.

Lecithin is a phospholipid, the glycerides are fatty acid esters. Very helpful.

I inhaled! I'm on a mint high. I suppose I'll be busy mailing mint for the next week now! BTW, those packages I sent to you and Corin are about 3 times the amount of mint that I put in my small spot in the ground 15 months ago. Twice, I've had to cut it back to only the 3' x 3' bed. It will take off in the ground.... like your catnip.

Ya'll are my comfort friends. Same here... 'cept Corin. He is bringing me no comfort at the moment! ;~D

Rosie, I think that given Ruthie circumstances right now she needs lots and lots of Sam's attention. He needs a new adventure. With Ruthie.

Lecithin is a phospholipid, the glycerides are fatty acid esters. Are you speaking in tongues? I didn't know you were a Pentecostal.
To: Wneighbor; Overtaxed
It will take off in the ground.... I'm sure hopin' so. I put it around the side of the house that's mostly shaded and that doesn't have any grass. Of course I'll have to keep the leaves up.
To: RMDupree
Right back at you!
(((HUGS)))) and a big yeeeee-haaaaaaaa!
You need lots and lots of these right now.
Here's another one. (((HUG)))

...'cept Corin. He is bringing me no comfort at the moment! I'm just doin' my job.

Rosie, I think that given Ruthie circumstances right now she needs lots and lots of Sam's attention. Will this do? Warning...will take awhile to load!

To: HairOfTheDog
Very helpfulWhat? I think they get the lecithin from soybeans and the glycerides from soybeans and animal (cow & hog is what the literature says.) You add it to the food so that the watery parts and the oily parts will stay mixed instead of trying to separate.

Did you say you were just waiting to turn the plumber on?
or have I been hanging out with Corin's reading too long?
To: Wneighbor
Better make sure I haven't killed this yet.
Plus I have my spearmint that I set out in pots. At least I think I do.
Silly me forgot what is in each pot. I know where the marigolds are and they aren't coming up. I also know I planted lettuce, cilantro, dill, spearmint and (I think) basil. Two of those are not coming up. I probably planted them outside too soon and it turned cold.
My m-i-l is coming up this weekend. Hopefully she can help me identify stuff.
I know, I know, I should've kept a diagram, but I thought "hey, it's only 5 pots, I'll remember..."
