Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Speaking of babies, did we ever get our act together and do something for your daughter?

I've got a little something for my daughter from my friends in the Hobbit Hole. I may get to mail it in the next couple of days. I was going to photograph it like 2J does before I send it. I got her the DVD Legally Blonde. She hasn't seen this. And, it's totally her. She is the character. Also, she loves Teriyaki beef jerky. Got her the Sam's pack. And I'm going to another store in town to get her a special candy. Only place I can find it here is Hobby Lobby so I got one more trip and I'll photograph and mail.

Thanks so much in advance to all of ya'll. I just wish I could see her face when she opens and finds it's from the Hobbit Hole.

Hugs, Ruthy. I suspect stress and anxiety, myself. I'm an expert in that area, having given myself an ulcer twice. The last time was earlier this year. Thanks to modern, but expensive, medicine, they didn't have to do surgery on me this time. Please take care of yourself.

It's 34 with slight drizzle/sleet. I have a cold, and feel miserable.

As long as they don't leave it in a truck overnight, it should be OK! I think I will probably plant most of it in a pot, though, just until it recovers from the journey. Putting it straight out there to deal with the cold might be a bit of a shock!

OH Ruthie! I wish I could come help you out. With work, the kids all that. I got the prayers going up. This is all too much to be happening at once.

I know those hospital emergency rooms are aweful. I was with Grama all day in one recently. The doctors gave orders for stuff that never happened. The nurses refused to give her food or water for over 12 hours even though doctors had ordered it.... especially water - they had said water was critical and the nurses wouldn't bring her any. I had to go get it for her and then got yelled at by a nurse - even though it was doctors orders 3 hours prior to that.

I will be praying. I guess that's about all we can do being so far apart.... but, after all, it is the most useful thing.
