Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

OT: taxes, bleeech. Getting that out of the way. Another mid 80's day here, a almost no humidity-30 percent or so. Moved and split a huge aster, some more daylilies, colanche(sp?), and a bunch of dafodiles. Spread out the rest of the pine bark and then cypress mulched the new beds. Took a nap, long walk with Samantha. Mid 80's are not normal so we are enjoying it. Mid 60's is more like it. But its still a drought.

Taxes are done. Weather was nice but I didn't get anything else done outside of grilling steak. :)
It's supposed to be dry all week and we have Friday off so hopefully I'll get the All Devourer out and get some garden work done.

But I noticed you won't be coming Midgewater Marsh way...ie Houston Texas...does Midgewater Marsh have to travel to the highland of the Tx hill country to meet with Bear and HOTDog? HairOfTheDog is not traveling! - Frodo is! My job is only to get him on his way. He can come visit you if you like! The Rules are posted on the FAQ of Ecrubh's page...

Perhaps Flat Frodo would like to come south in the November-January period, and visit Silver Springs (tourist mecca since the Civil War), near Ocala, and possibly Homasassa Springs and/or Weeki Watchee (Spring of Live Mermaids), nearby in Central and West Central Florida. Regarding Frodo, just put me on the schedule- the calendar is wide open. Oh and add a covered bridge to the list of MD locales. DC, Ft. McHenry, Amish country, Chesapeake Bay, and a covered bridge. Would you like him now? - No one else has volunteered to get him next! He isn't booked till June!
