Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I like the idea of you atop Bay while Frodo stands in front of a supply-laden Fatty (you hold the reins to avoid an awful trampling incident!). Be sure he is up front, so that it looks like he is defending you from something!
Be sure to wear a cloak and the Evenstar and be sure he is wearing the Ring!

Good for you, Corin! I always let our kids have their say, but cut off discussion if they started getting a little too ugly! They understood that they could speak their minds, but it had to be civil and respectful.

I just want to be sure that you are comfortable parting with him under these circumstances. I'd be more than happy to ask everyone to chip in a few bucks and get another Frodo standee, but my feeling is that you like the idea of a well-traveled Frodo! *grin*
We should set some game rules though as far as shipping. For example, he must be shipped as he came packaged. He must be shipped via courier or priority mail. He must be cared for in a better manner than you care for yourself! LOL!!! You know what I mean.
Oh yeah, and no kissing the standee and (this to the Dwarves especially) no "compromising" Frodo scenarios, no matter how drunk you are or how funny it may seem at the time!

I always let our kids have their say, but cut off discussion if they started getting a little too ugly! Well, I was a little embarrassed/disturbed at how I let my anger get the best of me. But I think he got the point.

I think he got that from Rush....he was using all sorts of comparisons yesterday..or was it the day before? He used Reno and Waco and Hilary getting the billing documents and so on.
