Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

He even got one of my brothers by the throat up against a wall once because he got a little TOO fresh mouthed with Mama. I'll spare the details in case there are any CPS types lurking, but Jr. felt the "wrath of Dad" not too long ago for mouthing off to his Mom.

OK, that would be great! I will be with my parents, sister and niece in the Westboro/Worcester area, but will be heading into the city at least one day. (4-year-old niece wants to go to the "fish zoo".) Again, it's not certain yet, but I'll be in touch.

I love it so much! I am currently waiting for inspiration on how to start him out. Something simple at my front door? - a pose with my pony, all laden with supplies for a trip, a picture of him out by a sign that indicates where he is? I just don't know!

We plan to take a drink every time somebody says "hobbit" or "Shire" or "and"....Tolkien Bingo?
And now that that bit of necessary business is out of the way, let me just say that this is turning out to be such a happy day for me.
The scenes from Baghdad are nice, but I only rate them on the same scale as the Redwings winning the Stanley Cup. A nice warm glow for a few hours, and then back to business.
Now the despair I'm seeing in the islamist media, and DU (pretty much one-and-the-same) is just delicious schadenfreude. They have earned every bit of it, and I hope today is just the beginning for them. If they had English subtitles, I'd pop some popcorn, open a Coke, and watch their news networks all day and night today.
Things are strange in Dearborn, Michigan, a little bit of islam in America. Half the population is catatonic, the other half is having a parade in the streets. The happy ones are Iraqis who plan on going back home to build a better life. The blessings of all free people be upond them, but just GO, and build a better Iraq where people want to stay. Turn it in to a tourist paradise, like a free Cuba will be, and fleece the cheap europeons looking for a cheap vacation site.
We have a long way to go, but we've passed a major milestone already.

I will be with my parents, sister and niece in the Westboro/Worcester area,GET OUT!! I live between Worcester and Westboro, in Shrewsbury! We don't have to travel to Boston to meet up! We can go out to eat somewhere close by!!
