The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

512 in the desktop. 256 in the notebook. If the notebook ever starts to bog down, or act weird, start shopping for another 256MB. Prices on all computer things are dirt cheap right now.
Dell's web site is very good for support. I rate it as A- for technical help. I used to rate Dell's phone support as A, but have had to downgrade it to C- after they offshored the whole thing to India. The hospital has over 5000 Dell systems, so I've gotten to learn a lot about the good and bad of Dell.

OK - I am makin' myself crazy... I just called the Regal Regional Manager again (who is wondering who gave me her direct phone number) because Fandango was again allowing ticket sales to the "wrong show" that was previously sold out.... she said Fandango is lying, that she was currently updating to add the Sean Astin show to the right place in a couple minutes and don't buy the tickets now but in a few minutes when the big theater showed up.... she asked if I was "one of the people in line" and I said no... that I was in Olympia wa.... she said "keep checking fandango". This this is gonna sell out within minutes and I am refreshing the flippin' page every flippin' two seconds.
AAAAAACK! - Too much pressure! FMM!

Ok, that does it. Too much Elf bashing. This Hole has gone so far downhill since I started posting here. We used to talk about Tolkien all the time, now it's all whistles and self-help and Elf bashing. Why is it always Elves that get bashed and never [Hobbit Hole 5th]? It's not fair and I think someone should call the moderator on you.
And it's all "wow, Jackson's so great" all the time. Nobody is allowed to criticize his vision or you're labelled an enemy of Middle-Earth. Maybe some of us don't like the fact that his wargs look like pigs!
Oh, and the whole deal with letting newbies just wander in and post... you even give them our seedcakes and pints! I mean, when are we going to get a sensible policy? This will never work, it is leading to the downfall of our great thread. I've been here since day one and you know, it's just been all down hill since March 23, 2002.
So goodbye. I can't believe I just wasted all this time here.
Happy April Fools!!!!
Read the moonletters before you say anything....

I am beginning to [pauses to hit refresh again] think that [pauses to hit refresh again] is the only [pauses to hit refresh again] sane response.

Who's this guy called Blackhawk, 2Jedismom? Oh well, regardless, he must have his head in the clouds because OBVIOUSLY there's a demand for whistles in the military! LOL I'm glad you sent some to Afghanistan.

Good one, Jen.
But let's face it, Too much Elf bashing is like saying...
- too much chocolate
- too much bacon
- too much beer
- too much Bailey's
- too much Tolkien
I think you get the point.
