Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

My study is just to see how long the fungicide and its metabolites stay in the ground and how far they move. But obviously not to test for any buildup in the livestock population over the years huh? Because we don't want to mess up the dwarves (and elves) massive bacon requirements. (like any of us would quit eating it anyway)

But obviously not to test for any buildup in the livestock population over the years huh? Nope! Not this fungicide although I did do that sort of study on another fungicide that they want approved for use on livestock feed.

I've never had a Christmas cactus that bloomed at Christmas. They always bloomed in early Spring, just before Easter. Your plant is lovely!
To: Overtaxed
Well, I probably am brain-dead and just not normal but I've never worried about what all's in my steak in the way of fungicide/pesticide buildup or whatever. I just concern myself with things like taste, tenderness, cooked well? Garbage like that. I do know though that the meat I used to buy from the rancher living behind me back home sure tasted a WHOLE lot better then the stuff I buy in the store here.

I never had anything that was supposed to bloom seasonally bloom at that season. I don't know. I just don't work for me. OT gets the prize.
But, I still like think that bloom is gorgeous.

Thanks! I'm thrilled I finally got up and bought it. I've put this off for far too long. Thanks for your efforts. I love watching an expert shop!
Is your next project a "goodies" shipment? I think there are lots of candidates for poagie bait that we could send.
To: 300winmag
Yes...goodies next time!! I'm thinking Moon pies, rice crispy squares, one whole box of hard candy and gum, slim jims, sweetened tea and Kool-aid mixes...granola and breakfast bars.
Goodies is gonna be fun!!

To: Wneighbor
I never could get the stupid cactus to bloom right until I started leaving it out all summer. It either would not bud, or the buds would drop off before opening.
To: 2Jedismom
Good shopping!

I just saw that TTT is playing beginning last night, through next Thurs. at a local "eat while you watch the movie" place. I'm thinking about taking Clare and Joseph this Sat. night. cause Sir SuziQ won't be home from CA until after midnight.
To: 2Jedismom
Goodies is gonna be fun!!Moon pies! That'll be fun!
To: SuziQ
Oh yeah. Moon pies, Little Debbies, all that stuff! It's going to be fun. Sending the hygiene items was nice, sending this entertainment stuff is great too...but I really can't wait to send the food items! I really love to buy food!
