The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Still they tried to force him to say it's the President's fault. Just wondering if anyone else heard this?I didn't hear it, but having seen some of those press conferences, I don't see how Ari can keep from whacking some of those maroons upside their pointy heads with a 2 X 4!! Mediaboobs! I love it!!
To: SuziQ
I hope that is a good thing.... Eeeek.

Hi...just marking my place before making a pilgrimage to Wal-mart. It's a long drive, but we have no more stores here! Just hardware stores that close at five, a few catalog outlets and the grocery...and I need a florescent lightbulb ring thingie for my kitchen.
Playing hooky from choir. I'm a baaaad hobbit. But I'm a bit annoyed at the choir director...he gets distracted or off on tangents (music related but not OUR CHOIR related) easily, and I'm almost better off learning the pieces mostly on my own. Plus I have a cold and can't really sing, so I guess I've got excuses.
Just waiting for my brother to finish practicing bagpipe pieces in my basement so we can head out!

I've been watching the press conferences with Ari for quite awhile now...while he doesn't pull out the 2X4, he sure does get in a good verbal smack-down once every now and again.
good evenin', all

I don't see how Ari can keep from whacking some of those maroons upside their pointy heads That was my thought exactly. And then I had the thought that not only do I truly respect and admire that man more and more, but seeing him remain cool and calm amidst all this causes my esteem for Mr. Bush who chose Mr. Fleisher for this position to rise even more than ever. That approval rating for me just keeps going up and up.

To: Wneighbor
quite right...he is the model of composure, but you can tell, by his body language and the tone of his voice, he wants to say some of the things that are going through your mind and mine.
and every once in a while he lets out a zinger.

Good evening! - I am free and clear now for the night!
Did I see through the fog I was in yesterday that you said you had not seen TTT yet?
Let me just say for the record... [gasp!]
Heh.

I'm home. Went shopping for the best deal on the Books. The set I got at Sam's Club for 13.99 is no longer there. The same set sells at B and N for $30. The used book store was sold completely out.
Sigh...
Like the sunscreen, this too will come. But my goodness it's frustrating right now! LOL
Pippin...you still planning on sending those books?

yeah...that's true *hangs head in shame*
although, having read the books numerous times and having read all of the discussion here, I have a pretty good take on what The Movie will be like...
can only say that I can't wait for the SE verion to come out to address all of the "problems".
but, I am waiting on the edge of my seat for the theatrical release to come out.

Should I get two sets?

Depends on whether Pippin or someone else is sending the used set(s)! There should be at least one in each box! - Don't you think?

I just don't know what to say about not having seen it!
You are going to have to work on this issue by the time RoTK comes out! We can't have this go on! ;~D

I am thinking if I get the ones that Pippin is sending in time, I'll send them with these boxes...and when this shipment comes in, then I'll send an entire box of just them. So maybe get four sets??
Kinda like the sunscreen box...I'm going to send it as soon as my pin number comes in. Hopefully tomorrow. Like the occassional stray box! LOL

I will definitely see ROTK in the theaters...not gonna miss another one on the big screen.
get there early, sit mid-theater, yeah...that's the plan... :-)
To: HairOfTheDog
Polaroid makes a disposable camera that's very reasonable...a double pack. I'm going to get a bunch of those. Dollar Tree has decks of cards...two for a dollar. Going to get a bunch of those.
What about hand held games? I was looking at those and saw the old classic "Football" and "baseball"...been around forever. Should I get a couple of those?
Batteries. Can't forget the batteries.
