The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Good evening!
I'm home and settled, finally... in Yahoo chat now.
Should I be somewhere else?

Thinking of a New England mini-moot... If we want to do that we'd better get cracking before TTT leaves the theaters! I don't know how far Rosie wants to drive, but Manchester NH is only about an hour away for me; prolly 2 hrs. for you.
Whatcha think, Rosie? Is Manchester doable? You could bring the brothers and sisters along for the ride. I'll bring our 15 and 13 yr. olds.

Uh oh... I just noticed the time of your post... did I mess up the Eastern/Central time conversion? I thought the schedule was for 9 pm Central time, was it supposed to be 9 pm Eastern time?

Hi Ruthy, may I say the same about you? You could, but you'd be lying! LOL! *wink*
Here's a few pics from today (lousy quality), but I'll tell you all in advance that neither Sam nor I are in them. There is one of Luis Gonzalez though. :)

Cute kitten... what are you going to name him/her?
To: 2Jedismom; Wneighbor
Oh for heaven's sake! Where're my manners (don't answer that). I reminded myself while I was doing yard work that it was WN's birthday and here I almost forgot. Thanks for the reminder 2J.
A Most Sincere Happy Birthday WNeighbor

You know that kitten bears a striking resemblence to the spotted dog and the large cat...

Her name is Kitty #9 (Niner)
She really is cool. She is so happy to be out of that tree, she doesn't care where she is, and she has no fear of anything at all!

We need to get Registered to visit here. Maybe we can talk him into designing some of his award-winning artwork for us. This is a sample of his newest work:
I also watched Geraldo on Fox, with the 82nd in Afghanistan. He was putting on a show for our HH troops! Included a brief prayer from a Chaplain Watters. And lots of signs from the troops to the folks back home.
The next care package could include a sign "Hello to HHDs" for our chaplain to hang out. Unfortunately, there will probably not be another "show" from Khandahar again.

Bump to myself so I can find the thread in the morning....
