The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

LOL! - I think you and I may be too wicked to be cops! Not at all. More cops like you guys would make the world a safer place.

He looks a bit sunburned...not too bad, but the chaplain said they really hot time hasn't arrived yet. I've got those 8 bottles of sunscreen and I'm checking to see if the 12 on order have come in today.
I can find SPF 15, but he specifically requested the 30...and that's giving me some trouble. THey just don't have it (yet) at the dollar stores.

LOL! - I think you and I may be too wicked to be cops! I agree, which is why I could never be a cop. There are times when a good beating would be more beneficial for the perp than an arrest, trial, and wrist-slap. Especially when it comes to young punks, caning ala Singapore would work miracles in making them model citizens. It only needs to be done once, and is the most humane in the long run.
But I'm not really wicked, I just appreciate the qualities of deceit and deception, and always look for oppportunities to practice it on an appropriate subject.
I also appreciate innovative thinking, as in the image that some enterprising individual put together:

I was playing the EA "LoTR:TTT" game and I beat the last official level (There are 2 secret levels to go that I'm still working on). After the missions are over it plays a bit of video.
Well, at the end the last Helm's Deep mission the video is of the scene with Gandalf and Aragorn standing next to each other and gazing out into the distance. It was either cut from TTT or it's from RoTK. It's the one where Gandalf says to Aragorn, "He[Sauron] fears what you may become..."
I actually got goosebumps watching it. I can't wait to finish the secret missions to see what's at the end of them. The one I'm currently working on is Orthanc. You have to beat 20 "floors" of orcs, goblins, Uruk-Hai and cave trolls. I get to the 20th floor and bite it because there's three cave trolls and about 5 goblins shooting flaming arrows at me.
This is a cool game. If you have a chance to try it, do so.

Console. I borrowed my sister's Gamecube, but it's also available in PS2 and Xbox formats.

Putzes, if there wasn't a few of them that I liked I wouldn't mind seeing a little "shock and awe" on tinseltown.

1st KIA was a 2ndLt, infantryman... prior enlisted... single... God rest his soul...
To: ksen; Ramius
No, Ramius does not have a console game either!
I have a Sega, two generations of Sega actually. They were the best console of their day. I don't know why they faded. Maybe their advisors were confused.

Interesting Oscar thread here:
Tom Hanks Will Skip the Oscars [Nicole Kidman Doubful]
As I said on the thread in various posts, Tom Hanks is the heaviest hitter they have. This is news. Their motive is to not walk into a PR trap. It is probably not a statement for or against the war, only a decision not to stand too near the fan. In that, they are wise. It shows class that has kept them in high popularity through many years, and many issues that have embarrassed others who were foolish enough to trade the affections of the masses for a few cheap moments of microphone time.

Unlike many actors, Hanks has a brain.
