Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I didn't make it to Melbourne. My social secretary overbooked my day for me. I had to sack her. ;^)
Tami is doing alright. Her tests came back and didn't show anything wrong. She still has the pain and discomfort, but no help for figuring out how to make it go away.

Ok, I have to go back and catch up on posts yet, but for those who may want to know who for sure that guy was in the pic I posted, it was Richard Harris. I posted it on a movie board and someone knew :-D Also...I caught Gods and Generals over the weekend and thought it was incredible. I was sniffing throughout most of it because seeing countrymen fight each other is just so sad to see, even though I'm convinced even more the South was right to defend itself. And my respect for Stonewall Jackson just tripled. I can't wait for the third movie "The Last Full Measure" although I'm not looking forward to seeing Sherman in it. x-(

What a great story!
I'm tellin' ya, I shook this one guy's hand yesterday at our rally and thanked him. Let me tell you, this guy was huge. I mean, he towered over me. He was a black man and just gigantic...like a huge football player or something. He had to bend down a little just to shake my hand!
When this guy reached down and shook my hand and I said "Thank you", our eyes met and literally locked. I meant it with all my heart and he appreciated it with all his, you could tell. We just paused for a moment in time and looked into each other's eyes.
It was very moving to me.

If I was gonna bring a 'before' picture, then why diet in the first place? How are they gonna know you look so much better if they don't know what you looked like before!? It's also a great incentive not to 'backslide'!

Welcome MozartLover! In my haste at skimming and catching up, I missed when you walked in!

I've been doing deep water aerobics.....I love my Hydrobics class, but I can't do the deep water stuff. That belt around my middle makes it hard to breathe!! It has been fun doing the water aerobics and looking out the glass windows to the snow outside!! When I do back outside after showering, etc. I'm not even cold because the bod has gotten so warm during exercise. I wouldn't be surprised if there were steam coming off my hair!

I picked up Gidget Sunday afternoon! She doesn't smell quite as bad as the vet's as Zoe did. So there was minimal hissing from Zoe. Should be done tonight or by the morning.
I'm so happy to have her back! I cuddled her all night.
