Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Morning. I'm getting ready to walk out the door. We got mostly freezing rain last night. Jr's school is delayed two hours, but they didn't cancel. Although it doesn't look like it will be much better by 9:00 a.m.

I'm in the "boundary zone". Lots of ice north and west of me. This morning I had ice on the trees and on the back windshield but none on the front porch or the front windshield. I was off the computer last night because the power kept flickering on and off.

Yeah, everything's fine. Just extremely busy with this new job! I'll be able to catch up and post this weekend, when things calm down a bit.

Morning. I had to scrape the car, but it wasn't too bad since I was out in most of it until about 6:30 last night. The van is frozen pretty solid, but the Mrs. doesn't have to go anywhere until this afternoon.

Weather has definitely kept me out of touch this week. Sorry ya'll are all having to deal with it now. It really wasn't too terribly bad here but school closings were erratic. They didn't close on the day I could barely drive and they did close the next day when the roads were clear. ???

OT, am sending you an economy sized Bailey's for the day. cyber-enjoy.

TGIF!! Steve comes home early tonight! We'll all have supper together.

I've managed to keep the house completely under control all week, except for the dishes. I don't like to fold clothes or wash dishes, so Steve usually does them...but he hasn't done them since he started school...the clothes usually wait and the dishes I can keep at a reasonable pile, till the weekend, where he helps me catch up. This week, however, I have managed to wash every bit of clothes and FOLD them and put them away, so that there is no backlog to catch up with tonight. The dishes are another story, but I am going to try to get that pile done, even though I don't like it. That will mean a nice pleasant evening with no housework to catch up on tonight, going into the weekend.

It's mostly plastic items that flip over if I put them in the dishwasher, and skillets. All are rinsed, and stacked in the sink...just need to be scrubbed with soap now.

I can do that. Sure!

Looks like FR is still struggling, but it's better than yesterday. :)

Let me get breakfast set up before anything else. Hmmmm....OK, here we go! Ham, egg and cheese biscuits; bacon and sausage (3 platters of each), hash browns and plenty of hot, steaming coffee! ENJOY!!

I can't wait for TTT EE to come out. It's sounds like it's going to be fabulous. I hope it helps cut down on the "meanwhile..."'s!! LOL!!!
