The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I am goin' to bed too.... See you later!
To: HairOfTheDog
Oh Hair, I feel for you, honey! They're just so sweet!
To: HairOfTheDog
I will go save a couple dogs from the pound. There ya go! Then Gidget will have some younger ones to boss around! I've always liked mutts; they usually more even-tempered.
To: Corin Stormhands
Corin, You might want to switch to Web Crimson...which is where I believe I will be transfering... then again, you may have better luck with blogger.com than me. I tried to follow their readymade support pages, but they were not very good at explaining things. I am tremendously disheartened, especially since I cannot seem to access my archive files in any shape form or fashion, no matter how I tweak my file.
We are on our second weekend of the play...tonight's performance was very good, although some of us still stumbled on our lines...but I think we all felt a bit more comfortable.

Aaaarrrrgggghhhh!!! Kitties are
so aggravating! I decided I'd have that yogurt for breakfast this morning (eat it before it expires, right?) and Miss Cat here is begging for the stuff..lapped up every last bit I gave her.
Oh. Good Morning, everyone!
To: HairOfTheDog
Hair, just want you to know we're here for you and Zulu.
To: Alkhin
Thanks. Since I have the Blogger account, I may try it for a while and see how that works. But I'll keep Web Crimson in mind.
To: Overtaxed
Good morning. I am finally back online after being on the phone with Comcast technical support for about 45 minutes.
We got us up and running again, but they're still sending a technician out on Friday (first day we'll have anyone home for an "all day" appointment) to see why we're so slow.
To: Corin Stormhands
Good Morning! Wow...you got to talk to a real live person. Are you down to dialup speeds?
To: Overtaxed
Not quite. But the connection is "spotty" at best.
To: Corin Stormhands
That can get as aggravating as a kitty after a while. Sometimes my connections hold and sometimes they don't. I think it's on their end. :)
To: Overtaxed
I think in this case it's
my problem with
their equipment.
But the help desk geek was patient and knew what he was doing. Much unlike the guy from Packard Bell I called a few months ago who basically said "there is nothing you can do, you need a new computer."
I KNOW I need a new computer. But I managed to fix that problem by myself. (and I think with some help from here)
To: Corin Stormhands
I don't bother with help desks unless it's completely unavoidable. I find most of my computer troubleshooting information on the web.
To: Overtaxed
Same here. But I couldn't get to the web.
To: Corin Stormhands
Yeah...that can be a pain. Once I had to do my troubleshooting from work.
Hehehe...they just finished dissing Canada on MST
To: Overtaxed
Canada = cheese eating surrender monkey wannabes
To: Corin Stormhands
Is it raining over there?
To: Corin Stormhands
Hehehe...it's pretty bad when you aspire to be a cheese-eating surrender monkey.
To: Sam Cree
Good Morning, Sam!
It's not raining here yet, but we have some serious fog.
